"Follow me back to my house." Victor Stephens. We drive to the apartment, and when we get there, I wait for Mandy outside while she goes inside to pack a bag. While I'm standing here waiting for her to come back, a cab pulls up to the curb, and Mike exits the vehicle. As he approaches the building, he experiences some difficulty walking. He appears to be intoxicated. While I am watching him from below, I have the urge to go up to the apartment, but I can't because Mandy should be on her way down any second now. And I know for a fact that I won't get along with Mike the Drunk any better than I do with Mike the Sober any time soon.
