Chapter 18 Snake in the House "Turn around, don't look!" She scolded, shy and trying to cover her provocative zones with her hands. "Where is the snake?" He pretended not to have been affected by what he had just seen. "Over there!" She pointed to the corner of the wall, where a small snake as thick and long as a chopstick was crawling on the ground. Dan gave a sigh of relief after seeing the object of her threat. That kind of snake was not poisonous, and its size was not much longer than an earthworm. He immediately forgot about it as his mind drifted into a wild, exploratory fantasy about the little woman in front of him... Her skin was moist and translucent, and it seemed like every inch of her skin was emitting a faint glow. He was engulfed in two seconds of intensely consuming desire before he was finally interrupted by some approaching footsteps from the outside. He quickly pulled off the bed sheet and wrapped her in it, and carried her to the bed. No sooner had he put her on bed than Max rushed in. "What's wrong, where is the snake?" "Oh, sorry!" He apologized on seeing the two in such a compromising situation. He actually thought they were caressing and kissing. He quickly covered his eyes and left. Meanwhile, Roslyn was battling with a hurricane of burning emotions. Dan was so close that she could even feel his breath, which was warm with a faint smell of tobacco. While it made her feel at ease, her heartbeat was in somersaults. "Wait, I'll be back soon," he broke the magical frenzy of imagination. He left her side. She opened her eyes slightly and saw him going to the corner of the wall and pick up the little snake with two fingers. He took it away. But he came back very quickly, so fast that she did not have time to put on her clothes. She moved and huddled herself in the corner of the bed, wrapped only in a sheet. She looked at him shyly and quizzically. "Mind going out for a while?" She wanted to put on her clothes. Dan was about to oblige when he suddenly changed his mind. He shook his head seriously. "No, there won't be just one snake in this place. What will you do if I go out and another snake bigger than this appears?" "Well, tell me, what should I do?" She asked, rather dubiously "Don't be afraid, I'm here. I'll protect you untill I take you back tomorrow morning." "Okay." It was the first time they lay in the same bed at night, so close that they could hear each other's breathing. Neither of them fell asleep, and no one knew what to say. It was Dan who finally broke the silence first. "Don't move too close to the wall. Snakes like to crawl up from the corners." This sentence had an immediate effect. She immediately moved towards him. The corners of his mouth rose unconsciously, and his eyes shone brightly in anticipation. "What if, what if..." She whispered, her teeth chattering. "What if there are more snakes?" He was so amused that he did not have the heart to scare her any more. He started comforting her. "It's okay, we will just light some snake repellent incense." "Why didn't you tell me earlier about it?" She sat up straight, her tone a little angry. After much fusing, she ultimately got into the bed and wrapped herself tightly. But again, she sat up and the sheets on her body fell off, exposing her smooth skin. "This woman is like a frightened little rabbit," Dan held back his laughter and got out of bed to look for the snake repellent incense. There was none in the first drawer, and he still could not find any after searching another drawer. "Well, let me ask Max for it and I'll be back soon." "Don't you delay out there, please!" "Be rest assured." Max was sitting on the sofa playing games. When he saw Dan coming over, he immediately threw his phone aside, his face full of gossip. "Ooh! Why did you come out? You went through so much trouble just to have s*x, you're really working hard..." "Stop talking nonsense, give me some snake repellent incense." "No." "What does that mean?" Max sat on the sofa, crossed his legs before responding in a very pretentious manner. "I don't have any snake repellent incense, but I have two aphrodisiacs. Do you want them?" "You will not have any dividends this year, and the company is losing money because of the likes of you.." This immediately shocked him into smiling fictitiously. "Yes, yes, yes. I'm sorry, Young Master Panter, though I don't give the incense to others, you are always the exception. Whatever you want, I'll get it for you right away." "Good guy, he just wanted to hear more gossip, what bad intentions could he have? He almost suffered a heavy loss." Dan thought as he rose to pick the repellant. Dan came back with the snake repellent incense and lit it, then turned off the lights and went to bed. He stretched out his long arms and hugged Roslyn into his arms. "Go to sleep, I'll take you home tomorrow." "Can I not leave? I mean, why can't I stay a little longer?" She whispered back. "There are a lot of snakes here, and snake repellent incense is not very effective..." Before finishing the sentence, he felt her rolling into his arms, and he took the opportunity to caress her. With the soft and fragrant prize in his arms, he could clearly feel the changes in his body. He lowered his head and kissed her... but discovered that she shaking. "Am I scaring you?" "No." But he moved a little further away from her. It appeared to him that she was not ready yet and he was prepared to wait a little longer. The following day, they got up early, and Max personally brought breakfast, porridge, side dishes, meat buns, and boiled eggs. When Max had burst in last night, he had seen the two in a compromising setup.. Seeing him now made Roslyn to blush unconsciously. This woman blushes too easily. Max observed inwardly. Dan saw the way he was looking at her and got annoyed. Using his eyes, he gestured to Max to hasten in clearing from their privacy. However, the guy pretended not to have perceived Dan's warning. Not only did he not leave, but he also took the initiative to chat with her. "Sister-in-law, Dan said you were not going back soon, why have you suddenly decided to leave barely after you arrived?" Before Roslyn could answer, Dan glared at him. "Why don't you mind your own business?" Dan retorted and proceeded to peel an egg which he put in her bowl. "Eat more, ignore him." A pang of jealousy hit Max because he realized that Dan was being cold to him compared to his gentleness to the lady. He was obviously giving love preference to friendship. He still ignored his cold stance snd continued to chat with Roslyn. "Sister-in-law, can I go to have lunch with you when I return to Worcester?" Roslyn felt it would be inappropriate for her not to answer. "Of course, Dan and I will treat you to a meal when you arrive there." She answered politely. It would be impolite not to agree to an invitation from her husband's friend, and it would be even more inappropriate to agree alone without enlisting the husband's consent. It would be formal for a couple to entertain friends together. Dan's face became inscrutably gloomy due to Max's outright persistence. Max knew that he was wearing out Dan's patience, but still went on testing. "I heard that there is a new barbecue restaurant on Logan Road. I'm hoping that you will find time to visit, sister-in-law." "Are you familiar with Worcester?" She was surprised. "Yes!" He said quickly. "I have a*****e in Worcester.." "Ahem!" Dan coughed uncomfortably. Max immediately hastened to complete what he had intended to say before changing the subject. "...selling barbecue." "What? Have you caught the cold?" Roslyn asked her husband with concern. "No, I just choked on the water." She did not doubt it and continued to chat with Max. "You run a barbecue restaurant, why do you have to go to other people's restaurant to eat?" "You may not know it, but knowing yourself and your enemy will ensure victory in every battle. We who work in restaurants should also go out to eat often, try the taste of other people's restaurants, and learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses." "Then you must find us when you return to Worcester." "Sure, let's make a pinky promise." They were about to make a pinky promise, but as soon as she stretched out her hand, Dan slapped her down. Apparently, Dan had put up with his behavior for a long time. Seeing that he was pestering his wife endlessly, he coldly turned to him. "Why don't you go home? Your mother is waiting for you to go home for dinner. Besides, my wife and I would like to discuss some personal matters. Isn't it so, honey?" Roslyn blushed at the first endearment from him. How many more surprises from him would she expect? She wondered as she felt the surge of his affection pulsating in her groins.
