Chapter Sixty-Two
For the second time, the five of them were driving away from a shelter that had been their home. The last time, they headed out to find their parents, and this time it was their kids.
Radiation levels had been on the edge of healthy for the last few years, so they expected that most everyone would’ve cleared out of the shelters by now. They were making good progress and were halfway through the second day on the road, but Chief was frustrated.
