Chapter Fifteen
The van pulled off the main road and continued for over a mile. It was a rough dirt road and was descending into what looked like a giant hole. From the view out the window, it was clear that it had been dug out many years ago. When they reached the bottom, there was more than enough room for them and the two charter buses that were turning around and preparing to depart.
The senior Wilsons stepped out of the van and looked around. They each carried a large new duffel bag that they’d purchased after leaving the airport. Alex and Marie had filled them with the items from the list Lucy had provided. Their original luggage, which they brought off the ship, remained in Corporal Evans’ van. She’d agreed to get rid of it for them.
