Chapter Seventeen
Stepping out of the shower, Lucy’s boyfriend, Marcus Ditmore, grabbed his towel. He was glad to have the sweat from another baseball practice washed off, but he was exhausted. He awoke an hour and a half early to be at the school today. People from all over Armstrong had gathered on the football field to try to catch a glimpse of the Menesa Comet as it streaked past Earth in what was being called “a once-in-a-lifetime event”. Many were calling the pass a near miss. Online, he’d seen more and more people referring to all the excitement as Comet Craze.
