Chapter Twenty-One 10 YEARS LATER Alex and Marie Wilson slept soundly in their quarters. They’d lived for the last ten years in Shelter 16, under what had once been part of the state of Florida. The only thing slightly unusual tonight was the ten-year-old boy sleeping in the adjoining bedroom. Kevin Torez was born shortly before he and his mother, Wendy, had arrived at the shelter.
