Red Dress Chapter 5

Days past without seeing Aden or hearing of him.My life started to flow in the right direction for once.The first off day in weeks was horrible for me.When it comes to business Olga makes sure that she will not be underestimated trust me it's bad!I woke up then went for a long run out in the woods.The day had a quite sent to it I just hoped that it will stay that way for once.Since I came home I felt incomplete that something was missing from my life.From my point of view I promise you that is not the alpha more the idea of me being alone for Christmas.The most wonderful time of the year so they say,but for me it was the most awful time of the year.The day before Christmas was the day all of our hearts bled for one persons stupidity.As I came in by the front door Angela came around the corner with a frown on her face. I opened the door then switched on the kettle as this was going to be one of those conversations.She sat down immediately while taking her phone out.I gave her a cup of coffee then that is were s**t got real.

"He is such an ass you know that!"

"I'm guessing that we are talking about Jake here and not the cat next door?"

"Yes,can you believe it that he would rather chose to go with Aden on business than to help me with the Christmas tree!Such an ass head!"

"Wait business?"

"Yeah don't ask me about it cause I've been in the dark since you came back home."

"That is really strange don't you think?"

"Tell me about it now I'm left with one big ass tree to get ready before tomorrow morning!"

"Come on!"I took my handbag then walked up to the door with her eyes on me I could see that she was unsure about what to expect.

"Where are we going?"

"We are going to buy wine,a lot of wine since I'm going to help you with the tree plus most of the pack left for the carnival!"

"W-ait you will help me with the tree...You as the mean ass female alpha?"

"That is what they call me these days?"

"No they call you the dominant female version of the alpha,but if you are able to help me then why not.Let's get going that tree is a big ass tree!"

She walked past me with a smile while jumping up and down.On the way out I just had to ask her : "How big actually are we speaking about?

*Aden's point of view

It has been days that that I have not heard anything from Niqolette.Olga just phoned me to tell me about the off day that she will be giving her since she works till late.Niqolette had a lot of secrets and the only way to find out more about the little wolf will be going to the one person that gave her to me,but when I came by the big golden gate there stood a lady.I seemed to recall her as the friend of Niqolette.I had to walk up to her and ask for help regarding my situation instead an old lady grabbed me by the hand.She looked down to the ground and asked me that we must go with her as she knew why we were here.Jake and I followed her to an old cottage outside the border of the pack.She then invited us in and served us an cold beverage at this time nothing made me more suspicious then finding out why she will be hiding from the rest of the pack.When she took off her coat she had a scar on her neck that only an alpha could give since the alpha's scars always stay if there was anger involved.The day I scratched Niqolette the scar healed,cause I needed to find her for that I had no intentions to hurt her until a few weeks ago.The lady sat down then she looked at us with anger and fear in her eyes.

"You are the original alpha the first of the first,the only ripper in the world my son but that is not why you are here is it?"

"Who are you?"

"My name is Carina the care taker of Niqolette when she use to live here,well before her mother died.The curse is true isn't it?"

"Yes,indeed it is but there is something else.."I gave her the letter of that was left by me from Craig.Her eyes started to flinch and tears started to roll down her cheeks. 

"She is cursed for the rest of her life that is why I brought you here there is something that you should know.Before her mother died she went to a witch the one that used white magic.She added a trade to her curse something that would help her along the way."

"And what was that?"

"She made a deal with the witch that no witch must be able to harm her,but instead if one hurts her or use their power for recklessness then she may take the right in her hand.You see Kate knew that Andrew will use a witch against her and therefore she didn't want her daughter to walk the same path.When she died the curse jumped straight to poor little Niqolette from a young age she had to learn to live with most of the secrets that was left on her. Unfortunately I only know half of the story since her mother traveled most of the time."

"Who know's the whole story?"

"No one my son as Kate kept more secrets at times that it became countless to keep up.Please for her safety leave here now at once as Andrew will kill her himself if he finds out!"

"No one will lay an hand on her!"

"I know my son as the legend has it there will be a light from the darkness but if it is true and there is a war I'm guessing that she will be the first target.Your mate needs to be marked and very soon or you will lose her.Please leave at once!"

We left there only with more questions than answers well at least the broken bones is explained.My mate is a weapon just like me and for that I need to keep her safe or at least on a leash  for time being.On our way home Jake got an important phone call regarding the one person that I never thought I will see again.My brother the Lycan.A Lycan is stronger than a normal alpha but not stronger than me unfortunately he ran out of luck on that part.

*Niqolette's point of view

We walked through the isle to find a decent bottle for the evening.As I walked past the third isle I must have slipped as I knocked over a bottle of whisky, but before it hit the ground it was caught by a very handsome man.His hair was dark and had blue eyes with a tattoo in his neck,I recognized the scent from the moment I laid eyes on him.

"First female Alpha!"

"A Lycan."

"Thanks for the whisky I need this one anyway you might want to be careful next time,I may not be around to catch it!"

"Niqolette nice to meet you.."

"Markus it was nice to meet you too,please excuse me I have a family reunion to attend to!"

In an blink of an eye he was just gone as if he was not here a few minutes ago.Angela came running down the hall only to give me a bottle of shooters.I stood there shocked but I felt alive at that moment I felt wanted,important.I hoped to see him again just to ask why he was here as there must be trouble if he is in town.
