Red Dress Chapter 6

*Aden's point of view

As I came in by the door there he was standing with two glasses and a bottle of whiskey.We greeted each other and headed straight to the office so that we can get down to business.You see Markus was my half brother some will call him a bastard as he his blood is not hundred percent these of the crown,but he is a lycan something that keeps the world in order from humans mostly in order from me.My baby brother always kept an eye on me as he knew that there will be a day that,I might lose all my senses then start to kill.I wish sometimes that I can prove him wrong but I once did this it took Amelia to get me out of it for weeks.He poured us a glass then came to sit next to me while handing me the glass.

"How have you been big brother?"

"I have had better days and you little one?"

He raised an eyebrow then Amelia came waltzing in like always.My brother never liked her since she use to tell every member of the pack that I am her perfect mate.The words just made him laugh while I started to believe it as I could never get the feeling to let her go.

"Ahh look at what the cat dragged in the one and only lycan!"

"Well thank you it is much better than to be used my dear but thank you for the concern.So tell me big brother why have you not yet marked her?"

Without thought I spit some of my whisky back in the glass only to find the red headed woman facing me.We both knew that it was never going to happen,but clearly madonna here did.

"Good question Markus?"

"C'mon babe we are having too much fun what is the use of me marking you,when you have my sent all over you all ready?"

"The use is that you must show it Aden!"

"Alright would you please give us just ten minutes then you can come back and mark each other firefly!"

"Ten minutes!"she then walked outside while I can hear how she is sitting outside the door waiting on me.I looked at Markus asking him about the firefly then he laughed out loud.

"C'mon that is not even a real woman,she think she is but have you seen her in the gym yet...."

"Stop it Markus!What are you doing here?"

"I came to visit my big brother since you never call or text,I must say that I find it really sad that you don't have a social life anymore!"

"Cut the act Mark!You know just as much as I do that you are unreachable most of the f*****g time so what are you doing here,and please don't tell me it's for my f*****g health cause then I might just kick your f*****g ass!"

"Well  it's not like you have any problems in your life bro,I am here to see if the scale is still in order."

"By order I'm guessing you mean have i killed yet?"

"Well yes then of course have you heard anything of the East sun pack?"

"No and No why is everything alright?"

"Well one of their members was brutally murdered yesterday!"

"Oh my,well don't let me waste your time let me show you to the door!"

"Steady there big brother I'm looking for Andrew's daughter?"

"She is not here now can I give her a message?"

"We both f*****g know that the message will never reach her so please brother stop wasting my time.Just tell me where she is so that I can get moving for f**k sakes!"at that moment Amelia came flying in with a smile on her face s**t!I have no energy to speak about mating right now.Markus stood up then gave me a low key smile as he walked out of the door.

*Niqolette's point of view

After a few bottles everything became better as the tree was up and ready to go,but the lights was still missing.The tree was big when I say big I'm saying like two rooms on top of each other.I had to walk all the way up on the stairs just so that we can start with the lights.It took us almost about an hour just to get the lights on and working.Luckily for me the star was not one of my ideas it was Angela's so she had to put it up on the tree.The stairs killed me the first time and I promise you going back up is no longer an option anymore it is a NO!After the tree was finished we took two glasses of wine and toasted to the opportunity that was given to us by the kids.In my situation it was Angela.We started to talk about our life and dreams until she asked the strangest question off all : "So today in the bottle store you looked shock when you saw me,why?"

"Well maybe because I saw some nice guy for once in my life and you just happened to stumble in on the moment!"

"Oh really,now tell me where was he?"

"Family reunion!"

"How was the looks?"

"He had dark hair with blue eyes.The kind that will make you drown into then he had this tattoo..."

Before I could continue with my story Angela showed me that I must stop talking.I wondered why until I turned around to find the man right behind me.Chills went down my spine when our eyes met for the first time.The alpha came from the hallway in then saw that we were staring at each other.

"Well that is me for the night,I'm just going to take this now if you will excuse me!"I took the bottle then started to walk but then the lycan grabbed me by my arm.I just looked down then I heard a growl in the back it must have been the asshole himself who is growling.

"Niqolette Winter's is that right?"

"Yes,who is asking?"

"Me we need to talk about a certain incident that took place?"

What incident will that be the one of the whiskey bottle or the witch.Aden took the lycan's hand off of my arm then threw his arm around my neck.His body weight was so heavy that I almost fell of shock of his arm around my neck.The lycan smiled then told me that we will continue this later while he was walking away I thought that he would take his arm of off me but he smiled then walked out with me.When he opened the door that is when I got the change to open the bottle.This moment was so shocking that I just needed to drink.When I got home I told him :"Thank you for the escort,but you are off duty now please just go home!"

Out of the blue he came in switching the kettle on then looked at me like I was crazy.Fuck this I am going to bed!

"There is milk in the fridge,please help yourself goodnight!"

"You need to get sober nikki!"

"I am not going to drink coffee while I'm drunk that is like asking for an episode.Please just go!"

"No!"

"Well stay then,please do whatever you want but please note that I am going to sleep now."

I went to change into pajamas then went straight to bed.I tossed and turned for an hour or two the thought of him being inside my house is just wrong and shocking.I decided to see what the bastard is up to only to find him watching tv.He looked at me with a smirk on his face.

"Couldn't sleep?"

"No,the thought of you being in my house is creeping me out!"I said then went to go sit on the couch next to him.He gave me a glass of water with a glow in his eyes.

"So we are still working on the sober thing aren't we?"

"Yes babe all the way.Tell me why did you have to drink to put up the Christmas tree today?"

"You have a brother why didn't you tell me that?"

"So we both have issues let's agree on that!"

"Christmas is one of the most horrible things for me in the year.My father killed my mother before Christmas just so that he can have his little mistress with him.You see our pack disagreed on this situation because only when the luna dies then a mistress will be taken in,but my father made it no secret of her.My poor mother had to witness everything from the beginning up until her death.He ripped of her head only to show that he will kill anyone who dares to touch her or to look at her..."

*Aden's point of view

"Stop please!"I took her head and placed it on my chest.She knew pain more than I will ever know.We sat there watching tv while she was crying.My heart pained for her,but there was nothing that I could do that would bring her mother back.She must have fallen asleep when I tried to move her grip became more tighter,that is when I decided that I will protect her from anything and anyone that wants to hurt her even if that means me!
