The next morning I woke up on Aden's chest with the sun brutally amazing straight at me.I must have fallen asleep while watching television well I need to get out of here before he wakes up.I decided on going for a run since my wolf is being restless with him under me,plus I will be missing the awkward moment that will follow once he wake up and fined my head on his chest,so I grabbed my earphones then headed straight out of the door as quickly as possible.Once the fresh air hit me that is when I started to feel light headed,I knew that I shouldn't have drunken so much but it was one of those moments that you need energy more than power to proceed.After a while my wolf started to ask me questions like how is it possible for him being around us then again why didn't I do anything.Having another person in your mind is just like driving a buss only to find the seat next to the most irritating person ever!!!

My chest was burning from all this running never have I ever pushed myself so hard even my poor wolf started to speak less maybe that was the reason why I ran so fast.My phone went off that it almost gave me a heart attack.When I saw n the screen who it was,I remembered the day that the male himself punished me for talking to another man.Jackson my dear old friend.I looked around only to find no one around for miles or even a scent so,it was safe for us to talk.

"What do you want?"

"I need your help with a patient.."

"I cant help Jackson,you are suppose to know that by now just find someone else!"

"I would but this an alpha known as Michael Grayson that is laying in my ICU!"hearing him say his name made me feel small last he was tossed across thin air now he is in icu?

"You have five minutes to explain and please make each word count!"I said with a demanding voice.

"Why thank you,I need you to help me take care of him.You see I would have but he asked me last night to phone you right before surgery,Nicqolette it looks like a bear that tried to tear him in pieces,is that even possible?"

"Yeah,but the bear was next to me sleeping all night so that is not possible!"

"Wait what?"

"Look for now keep the police away I'll be there in a few minutes.Do you think that you will be able to handle that for me?"

"I can."

"Good I'm on my way!"

With that last sentence I dropped the phone and headed straight home just to get dressed,but first a cold shower will do the trick just to get my bodies temperature down I don't want the alpha asking any questions.If he does I won't have an answer nor even a squirrel will be able to explain the whole situation with Jackson.When I got home Aden was gone already thank heavens!I jumped through the shower then got dress as quick as possible then I drove straight to the hospital.Most of the staff at the hospital will know me since I use to work there so to find my way to Jackson's office will be easy.Once I got to Jackson's office he was already waiting for me patiently.He looked scared and afraid of the current situation.

"You have to wear nurses clothes as the police are on their way!"My eyes fell on the light blue uniform on the table with a smile I was glad to answer him back.

"I will certainly not be wearing those clothes since I'm a family member!"

"You are related to him?"

"Hell no!"he then showed me to Michael's room that was guarded by two security men.They did not ask a single question as their eyes was more focused on the nurse with the big ass boobs.As I walked in by the door I saw that he was tied up like some stray animal.Jackson closed the door behind me then asked me to have a look at his files.He showed me the marks that was left on his body,

"This is not normal Nicqolette it's almost like he was the target of some sort of ritual?"I took gloves then put them on then started to study every mark on his body.

"Each mark contains different types of injuries,see this mark here this is the work of a  knife but that one is the work of an ax.That means who ever did this wasn't one person it was more or less two people at least."

"What about this?"he showed me his eyes it had grayish in the pupil.

"That my friend is a drug something that is very rare to find so the question is who attacked him?"

"My question is who would something like this?"

"Someone that wants to prove a point so what did he say before you placed him under anesthesia?"

"Only to phone you,because you will know who did this!" 

Before I could say anything he got called into surgery but I asked to stay there for a while.My eyes caught a burn mark in his ear but before I could see what it was I got interrupted by a man.When I turned around only to find the lycan next to me.He looked at Michael then at me.

"What are you doing here?"

"Dr.Peterson needed an extra pair of eyes so he phoned me this morning."

"Does Aden know where you are?"

Before I could even answer a detective came in then looked at me with interest.

"Aren't you Nicqolette?"

"Yes I am."

"What are you doing here?Aren't you suppose to be at work?"

He knew me like a book but then my eyes met with the lycan he knew what I was thinking at that exact moment.

"She is with me I needed an extra pair of fresh eyes on the case.I hope that there will be no problem regarding this?"

"Markus it is good seeing you here,please just advise if your brother knows about misses Winters where about's?"

"Yes,he does are you questioning me Jason?"

"No I was just following up my brother,please tell me what would have cause this?"

"Nicqolette?"

I find both of them staring at me with big eyes.This is so no good what was I thinking to come here in the first place?Markus is helping me out of the trouble so why not just go with it my wolf claimed.Great I'm going to listen to the one and only most irritated person ever.

"It was a bear!"

"Great there you go detective now would you please excuse us we have some business to attend to!"

I followed him straight out the door not facing the detective in anyway.I hope for my sake that Aden does not hear a word about this,because then I will be facing the bear himself.I followed him outside then he stopped and looked at me like I owe him something.

"Help me with the case and I'll help you out of the s**t my dear?"

"Wow!I can see how you are related to Aden you know!"

"Why are you mad at me?"

"Family reunion?"

"Oh about that I should have mentioned that he is my brother."

"Should have?"

"I just did so please,will you help me since you know him better than anyone here in this s**t hole?"

"Fine but on one condition!"

"I will not kiss you I promise my dear!"

"You are such an asshole do you know that?"

"So I've heard!"

"Let's just go!"I said walking to his car.

"Where is your car?"

"I have a bike and last I checked you have a car.So guess what we will be driving with your car!"

I then climbed into the car then we drove up to the mountain lake.The lycan was smart and sexy don't get me wrong but he made me feel more alive while Aden kept me wondering about my spot in his life.As we arrived at the lake I told him about this girl and what she sells he looked at me with a surprised face.We knocked on her door when she open the door she stood there in fear.Her eyes was more focused on the lycan as on me after I assured her that we want no trouble only answers she then let us in.

"Laurinda when last did you sell this?"I asked her then showed her the green small bottle she looked surprised once her eyes lays on it.

"No one sells it anymore since the alpha banned it,but a week ago there was lady with long black hair looking for this same potion.I asked her what was it for but she just asked will I be able to give it to her but once I told her no she left in a hurry!"

"Have you seen her before?"

"No,but she looked almost like a mistress that wanted to solve a problem."

"Thank you so much Laurinda I appreciate it!"

We walked out of the cabin then to his car.We drove away in silence then all of the sudden he spoke a few words.

"If it is a problem how on earth are we going to find them and where does the marks fit in?"

"It's not your brother Markus,we will find them you said that you would like to speak to me about something last night what was it?"

"I needed your help since you are one of the best doctors in the country of the supernatural kind,but I needed to find out why did that witch not affect you?"

"How do you know about that?"

"Beta's talk you know that don't you?"

"I don't know really once I get the answer I promise that you will be the first person to know.So what are you doing Christmas?"

"I have a feeling that I will be spending it with you sweet heart!"

With those last words he made my heart skipped a beat.The first person besides Tasha or Angela that would actually want to spend time with me.He made me feel special but I knew that he was only playing as it was the type of person that he was.He is a bachelors boy that will flirt his ass off just to get you in bed but he seemed to like it when I have an attitude around him.Our eyes met for one second then I replayed: "A feeling you say?"
