“WAKE UP!” A voice growled out, and before I could pry my eyes open, he unleashed a torrent of ice-cold water, it slammed into every pore on my body and caused me to gasp awake.
I let out a growl of my own as I wiped the cold water from my eyes. I made sure to quickly take in my surroundings, noting that Oscar was now awake and leaning against the back wall of his cell. My heart sank when I saw his face, it was painted different shades of blue and purple, and drenched in his blood. And sure enough, the walls were still made of red dirt, and we were still separated by the thick metal bars.
