Lucian’s POV I’m not sure how long I was lost in the darkness. But as I forced my eyes open and the fogginess of my vision faded, I could see a blinding ray of sunshine shining through a small window blocked by thick metal bars. After rubbing my eyes to push away the remnants of whatever was used to knock me out, I could quickly make out that I was underground. The floors and walls surrounding me were all made of cold red dirt. The only exception was the steel bars that formed into the door of my cell. The impending doom it let off give me chills.
