"The Lesson From Disasters"

It's been a rough couple of days as bills continue to pile up. My dad who was self-made, due to growing up on his own, had no idea that a life with my mom would be this chaotic. "Ruthless, just ruthless," my father said to himself as he saw a nlt on the table. "What is it?" I asked curiously. He rubbed his eyes in frustration, then handed me the note. It read; "Dear Krews, I can't stand the feeling of being neglected. When you first met me, you said that you wanted to spend the 'world' with me but, all you do is work. If you forget about your family, you could just leave." I was in shock. "You aren't leaving, are you dad?" I asked hesitantly. "No son, I'm staying. Your mom's just acting crazy. If I don't work, I wouldn't be able to provide for us." I started to feel a little relieved. "You're right," I remarked. I then made my way to my room to grab my headphones. "Where are you damn it," I asked myself while picking up my pillow. I heard my dad allroaching my room. "Everything okay?" I paused and then replied; "yeah, I just can't find my headphones." My dad raised his hand; "you mean these?" I smiled in relief; "yes, thank you." My dad started to walk away as he said; "you're welcome." I noticed the time, it read; 8:30pm. "Where's my mom at?" I thought to myself.
