Aria grabs a cleaning cloth and walks towards the empty tables. She starts wiping the dirty tables while hamming to "Watermelon sugar" by Harry Styles. Not noticing anyone around she twirls a little and smiles to her self. " Aria!!" Holland calls to her. she turns her head towards him with a questioning look. "what?" She questions. "uh...we have customers around." he answers. " Stop dancing and do what you are paid to do." "OK! geez.." she responds. let's face it, after all everyone in the small restaurant she works in is just a student. its not like she is serving rich Old people at some Italian restaurant. But Hollands attitude towards every Customer is strictly professional. He always dresses up before reporting for work and acts somewhat too formal for a college restaurant. Aria clears the last tables and walks to the kitchen where she finds Lenny her house mate washing the dishes. He receives her with a smile. " I heard il cameriere speaking out there" He mocks as he wipes his hands on his apron. Lenny also referred to Holland as I'll cameriere which means 'the waiter' in Italian. This was his way of mocking and pointing out how uptight Holland was at his job. " yeah, you know how he gets sometimes ". Aria responded. " I honestly don't get him you know. We are waiting on our fellow students, why the fuss?" Lenny rolls his eyes and sighs. " Any way, am done here let's go finish serving and leave this place, am exhausted. " Lenny says patting Aria's back. "oh yeah, I have a study session with Leslie, you know how she gets." Aria says. " Don't we all know it." Lenny responds as he leads them to the counter, where Jane another waitress is waiting. " What is it Janey dear?" Lenny asks with too much concern. Aria looks at him and wonders why he cares about Janey dearest so much. Only last evening he offered to take her all the way to her hostels, and when Aria asked him about it, he dismissively answered " I have to meet a girl near her hostel, what's the harm." with that they were out of the door. And now he is acting concerned. Jane turns her heard towards Lenny and whispers " The Celebrities are in" Lenny and Aria follow her eyes as she looks toward a table in the left corner of the room. " Dear lord, why today?" Lenny whispers back, and quickly says " Not it!". Before Arias says a word, Jane shouts " not It!" for everyone in the restaurant to hear. when heads slowly turn, she covers he mouth and practically runs out of the room to the kitchen. Holland who was standing at the cash register walks swiftly to where Aria and Lenny were standing in shock and asks. " What on earth is going on here, you three are causing a ruckus in hear." “The jokes are here again, So not it" Aria quickly responds as she tries to leave the room too. “Well, come back here Aria." Holland orders.“ I am very busy at the cash register, am sorry you have to take this one." Holland says and leaves Aria with her eyes wide open in horror. she turns her head towards Lenny and gives him a pleading smile. “I love you roomy, but not today. am too lonely to talk to those jerks." He kisses her forehead and walks to a group of three girls who just walk it. “Hello me ladies".. Aria hears him greet the new customers. ' off course, let's all leave poor Aria to deal with the stupid' Aria murmurs to herself. She grabs her writing part and heads to the table. “Evening, can I take your orders please" Aria says as she looks amongst the table members. She never really been one to follow any sport ever, she didn't even know the people she was looking at. All she knew was that, they were in her college football Team, and that they were really good because of how many games they win almost every week. all this knowledge was from hearing her two best friends Lenny and Leslie go on about the great American sport. But with all this information, three things stood out. One, they moved in a group of almost up to seven sometimes, second thing was that almost every girl she knew throw themselves at them and the third one was that they were total jerks. She found them very unbearable and standing here right then was the worst thing to happen. “ hey, I would like to order a cheese burger with some fries“ The blond haired boy answers looking at her. She takes a pen from from her apron pocket and notes the order quickly. “ The usual for me." The boy with black short hair says looking at his phone. “ hmmm, what's your usual again" Aria asks. she notices the boy looking from his phone to her face. He makes wrinkles on his forehead and looks at her questionably. “Are you new here? can I have someone who knows my order attend to me." he says and goes back to his phone. Aria curses in her head and looks towards Holland who gives her a thumbs up as if to in courage her. She turns back are head to the boy and clears her throat before speaking. “ no am not new here, I have never just taken your order before. So plea,....." “ Get me someone who has then. I am damn hungry and I can't deal with your incompetence right now." He interrupts her his eyes still on his phone. Aria closes her eyes and opens them to calm her self down before going on. She turns to another boy with equally black hair but longer than the other boy's, and says. “ Your order please." The boy smiles at her and looks at his grumpy friend with short black hair and says, “ Dude, did you see what she did right there? she f*****g ignored you." Then he laughs out loud. The other boys who seem interested now in what's happening, join in the laughter. The boy with short black hair sends his phone sliding down the table and angrily looks and her. This time the lines on his forehead looks thicker and longer. The blond boy noticing his friends anger,quickly jumps in before his friend could answer. “ You know what Aria? how bout cheese burgers for everyone here." Aria looks shocked because the boy knew her name. The blond boy smiles at her noticing her surprise and points his finger at her name tag. Aria looks at the tag on her shirt and nodes in understanding. She looks at the boy with short black hair, he is still staring at her with an angry face. The other boys seem to have gotten back to their phones. Intimidated by the look, Aria quickly responds. “ Cheese Burgers it is” and walks away quickly. She goes straight to the kitchen where Leonardo the cook was working. “ seven burgers and fries please." Leonardo who is busy cooking takes a quick look at her and nodes. “ How did it go?" Jane asks Aria with concern in her voice. “ you know what?, these are moments in life I wish I had a gun." Aria answers and walks out of the room. A few minutes later she serves the order and moves on to another table. The evening seems normal from then. once in a while during the reminder of her shift, she would look over to the table. The boys seemed to have forgotten about the incident. They are busy in a conversation about football she assumes. The rude boy also seems to have moved on, and is talking intensely, his friends would laugh at times while he would just smirk. Later Aria and Lenny walk into their lounge area where Leslie jumps from her sit and walks towards them with her hands on her waist. “What happened Aria, I have been waiting for you. I thought we had a plan" Leslie questions her. Aria ignores her friend and walks to her favourite couch placed almost in the center of the lounge and throws her body onto the couch. Leslie looks at Lenny for an explanation, her hands still on her waist. “ Bad day, for our sweet Aria it seems." Lenny responds and puts his bag on the table just by the door. “oh dear, what happened? was it that Holland guy. I knew it, he is too grumpy. don't I tell you guyz that he needs to get laid." Leslie answers as she walks towards her friend now laying on the couch. Aria looks up at her with her eyebrows raised. She knows her friend can talk non stop, but she wishes at times she could just chill. “ No, it wasn't Holland Les, it was the joke table." Aria responds. Leslie squints a eyes and asks “ What's the joke table. Did Holland make it?" “ No Les" Lenny responds as he sits on the arm of the couch Aria is laying on. “ The football jokes came in for a meal today, and sweet Ari was tasked to wait on them." “ Asked? I wasn't asked to wait on them, you guy's spoke your way out of doing it. I had no choice" Aria respond sitting up. “ What?!, you mean our College football Team?. was DK there too, uhmmm how bout King??" Leslie's speaks with excitement in her voice. “ OMG, those guys are really cute. Taylor too, but he has a serious girlfriend and I don't do guys in serious relationships. it gets too messy." She shakes her head. “ Leslie sweety, stay on topic please" Lenny says pointing his finger at Aria who is is shaking her head in disbelief at her friends admiration for the jokes. “ I seriously don't get your excitement when you hear about those stupid boys. They are rude and act like the world revolves around them. its seriously silly." Aria answers. “ Silly you say? but they are so hot. Am seriously in love." Leslie beams at her statement. “ In love?" Lenny questions and continues. “ You are never in love Les, you sleep with anything that moves. Not even any of those jokes can make you fall in love." At this Leslie attempts to smack Lenny, who jumps up from where he was sitting for safety. “ Shut up loser, we are trying to comfort our friend here and not listen to your nonsense." Leslie answers with a pretend annoyance in her tone. She never gets offended when her s****l life is discussed. To Aria, Leslie has always seemed to be a girl who is free with her body and loves to do whatever she likes. in this context, a very s****l person. “ Let's just forget about it guys, am not going to let them ruin my mood." Aria say's . "let's go on and study Les, its Thursday." Aria continues. “ That's the spirit Aria, now I will let you two study. I need to rest, I have an early morning tomorrow. " Lenny answers. He grabs his bag and heads upstairs to his room. The three have been sharing the space for 6 months now. It was just a huge empty studio with a big room on the ground floor and three other rooms on the first floor when Leslie found it. They turned it into a beautiful apartment thanks to Leslie good taste. the three rooms on the first flow where turned into three bedrooms, one for each. the huge space on the ground floor was turned into a lounge. The studio had a little kitchen at the back, which they used not so often. It also had a shower and a toilet which they shared. “ Good nyt Virgin!" Leslie shouted to Lenny as he entered his room. He just banged his bedroom door without responding. The two always fought on anything. Leslie turned towards are friend and Said “ So where do we begin?".
