Chapter Eight: Consequences

Kai's P.O.V

Ava looked up. Her eyes were filled with fear. "What do you mean 'do with me'?" She asked Sam. "You just admitted to attacking a pack member. Why the hell would you think that's something that would go unpunished? Especially when that person you attacked is now MY MATE. I could kill you right now without a second thought." Sam's words made her eyes widen. She was terrified. I love her but she deserves no less for her actions. "Alpha William should be here in a few minutes to deal with you. Don't bother lying hes been watching everything thanks to that camera." Sam told her while pointing at the small camera on the wall. "What's he going to do to me?" She asked with tears forming in her eyes. I hated to see her cry. "I guess we'll find out." Sam replied. Ava turned to me sobbing. "Kai, Baby I'm so sorry! Please don't let them hurt me! Babe please! Give me another chance! I love you!" Ava pleaded. I couldn't keep quiet. "You don't love me. You probably never did. You waisted years of my life. And I turned my Mate away for you. For nothing." I turned my back to her. I had to. Ava always knew what to do to get her way with me. I honestly believed that she loved me. I sacrificed the one thing The Moon Goddess gave to me, My Mate, all for her. Today she had an opportunity to truly show her love for me like I did for her. But the reality is I love someone who doesn't love me back. Why did I give up Elora for her. Im such an i***t. Maybe I can convince Elora to forgive me? I have to try.

Sam's P.O.V.

Kai turned his back to Ava. But he kept glancing at Elora with longing eyes. I was about to go off on him again when Will entered the room. Ava's eyes shot to him as he walked over to stand a few feet in front of her. "Ava Boone. You were just accused of attacking a pack member because of their Mate Bond." He said gesturing to Elora. "And although you didn't deny this, you also didn't take responsibility or even apologize. You decide to show how heartless and crazy you are. You think you've done nothing wrong. You're selfish and don't deserve to be part of a pack." Ava started to beg to the Alpha. "No please! I'm not selfish she is! That b***h was going to take Kai away from me! I LOVE HIM! I had to do something!" "If you really loved him then why were you about to leave our pack with Beta Marco?" I said throwing her Mate in her face. She glared at me "Shut up Sam you know nothing! That slut wanted Kai and now she has you? Who's next the Alpha? She's a stupid SLUT!" I could no longer contain my anger. I slapped her across the face so hard. Kai turned back to see her on the floor. I could see the hurt and anger in his eyes. "Do you have anything to say for yourself?" Alpha Will asked Ava. "This is bullshit!" She yelled at him while holding her cheek.

He shook his head as he looked down at her. "Ava Boone. You are hereby BANISHED from the Silverlake pack. From this day forward you will be Rogue. If you set foot back onto our territory you will be killed. I will allow some pack warriors to escort you to grab a few belongings then they will escort you out of the territory." Ava started to stand with a look of disbelief on her face. "Banished? Because of her? Shes nothing!" I cut her off before she could continue. I couldn't stop myself Abel was about to tear her head off "SHE IS A MEMBER OF THIS PACK AND YOU ATTACKED HER FOR NO REASON! You think you're above everyone but you are NOTHING and NO ONE!" Im yelling at her not realizing with every moment passing I'm getting closer and closer to her. I'm just in front of her now seething with anger.

I couldn't keep Abel back any longer. I didn't want to if Im being honest in the blink of an eye we had Ava by her throat. "I could kill you right now and not loose a minute of sleep." Just then I hear an angelic voice next to me. "Sam don't. You're better then this. Then her. She's not worth it." It was Elora. Her words were so calming. But I refused to let go. That is until she placed her hand on my shoulder. Her touch made me tingle. My heart was pounding. I couldn't refuse her. "Sam..." I finally let go and Ava dropped to the ground gasping for air. I seen Kai flinch as if he was about to help her but he stopped himself. "You done?" Will said looking at me. I rolled my eyes and stepped to the side.

"You have 30 minutes to get to your house and off of our territory. I suggest you hurry. If you're still on our territory after the 30 minutes is over I will send out a Hunting Party for you." Will said to Ava as he motioned for 2 pack warriors to enter. "Escort her to grab some of her belongings then make sure she's off of our territory." "Yes Alpha!" They said in unison. They grabbed Ava and forced her out of the room while she was screaming. "NO GET OFF OF ME! LET ME GOOO!" Her screams start to fade.

Kai's P.O.V.

Sam grabbed Ava by the neck and I nearly stepped in. But if I want to get Elora back I can't show emotion towards Ava. I stay back and look at Elora. She is so beautiful. Why did I reject her? What is wrong with me? Why am I such an i***t? My thoughts were cut short when 2 pack warriors came into the room. They grabbed Ava and left. I could hear her screams start to fade. I looked over at Elora. I couldn't look away. I have to do it. I have beg for Elora to be mine again. I was her first Mate! Shes supposed to be with me!

Sam's P.O.V.

I look over to Kai once Ava is gone. I only manage to get more pissed off when I see him staring at Elora. And he isn't looking away. He takes a step toward her and begins to open his mouth. What could he possibly have to say to her right now? He better be apologizing for Avas actions! He is part of the reason she was hurt in the first place! It better be a damn good apology! "Elora... I know I messed up by rejecting you. But please forgive me and give me another chance." "What!?" I yelled before he spoke again. I wanted him to stop, but he continued. "I was your first mate. Me. Doesn't that mean something? I can make you happy. You and Sam haven't completed the mating ritual so you aren't tied down to him. We can still be together! Please!" I couldn't hear anything anymore. I punched Kai in the jaw with a left hook. "You dumb piece of s**t!" I yelled at him. He swung back with a right hook and missed. I swung again and connected with my right hand. Kai tackled me to the ground I could feel Abel surfacing. I could tell by the the color change in Kai's eyes his wolf was surfacing as well.

"Stop right now!" It was William, our Alpha. He used his Alpha tone giving us no choice but to obey. William never had to use his Alpha tone on me before today. "Both of you get some air. Stay clear of each other till tomorrow. I can't have my Beta and Gamma fighting each other. We will deal with this at noon tomorrow before our meeting with the allies." Will said dismissing us. "There's nothing to talk about she's MY MATE. He rejected her! She's mine." I said looking Kai in the eyes. "We will see about that." Kai said as he turned his back and left. I was going to go at him again when I felt a hand grab me. I knew it was Elora because of the instant sparks I felt. "Why don't we go watch a movie or something?" She said looking in my eyes. Once again I couldn't say no. I angrily nodded my head. She took my hand and pulled me back up to the fourth floor. We got to our floor and she started to head towards the mini theater. But my blood was still boiling. I decided to go to the bedroom for a moment to cool down. "Go ahead and get a movie started I'll be there in a few minutes." I told her as I opened the bedroom doors. I walked into the room and started to pace back and forth not knowing what to do with myself. "Ugghh! f**k!" I yelled at the top of my lungs as I flipped the glass table. It shattered as it hit the ground. I could kill Kai right now! All I feel is anger. I'm in disbelief. "Sam..." I look up to see Elora standing in the door way. "Please don't be mad at me... I'm sorry I didn't tell you about Kai and Ava.. I just didn't think anyone would would believe me and-" She was the one to get put through all this pain and she thought I was mad at her? That she has to apologize? "Elora. Stop right there." I said cutting her off. "You have nothing to be sorry for. You were hurt! Why would you have to apologize? You didn't deserve any of that bullshit! And I wasn't there to protect you when it happened. Do you know how that makes me feel? I didn't protect my Mate." I looked down feeling terrible. "You weren't my mate yet. And since you found me. You have helped me, protected me, and defended me. You showed me that you actually care." She said using her hand to have me look her in the eyes. "How could I not care about you Elora. Your beauty takes my breath away. Your smile brightens my world. Your touch gives me goosebumps and makes my heart pound! You make me happy with your presence. You're the only one for me. And you always will be. I'm in love with you Elora."

Elora's P.O.V.

I couldn't believe my ears. Sam just said he loves me! He feels the same way I do about him! Maybe I'm crazy and just hearing things. The only thing I could manage to say in that moment was "You love me?" I had to be sure I heard him right. "I do. I love you more then anything Elora. You have no idea how much I love and care for you. I've prayed to the Moon Goddess countless times, and everytime I prayed for you. A perfect Mate to spend the rest of my life with. And I don't plan on letting you go. I can't and I won't! For Kai to say that bullshit about giving him another chance. I wont let him take you from me! He had his chance and threw it away! He broke your heart! And then he thinks-" the more hes talking the more I can see anger rising in him. I had to stop this. Kai isn't going to ruin anything else! "SAM!" I yelled to get his attention. He looked at me as I grabbed his hands and wrapped them around my waist. "You're right. He did have his chance and he ruined it. But the Moon Goddess decided to give me a second chance. A better Mate. You know... Before I even got the chance to tell him that I hadn't shifted into my wolf yet someone overheard me telling my friend and he heard it from them... He said I was too weak to be his mate since I hadn't shifted yet. Then you came along. I thought you were going to do the same thing. That's why I told you right away so you could reject me then and there and get it over with. But you didn't reject me. You cared for me then, like you do now. That's why I love you. And Kai could never take me from you."

Sam's eyes were locked with mine. As soon as I told him how I felt his eyes lit up with joy. He picked me up and wrapped my legs around him. I wrapped my arms around his neck not that I thought I'd fall, I just wanted my hands on him. He held me close, his scent engulfing me, it was intoxicating. I took a deep breath and heard him do the same. I lean back still in his arms to look at him. He looked straight into my eyes. Before another second could pass he grabbed me by my hair and pressed his lips against mine. I can't help but feel aroused. I wanted his lips all over me. I started to imagine him taking my virginity right then and there. His muscles glistening as he towered over me. Goddess have him take me now! As I'm thinking all this still in his arms I feel him tense up. And he pulls away from the kiss and tightens his grip on my waist. He looks me in my eyes again as his eyes darken and a low growl escapes his lips. "What?" I asked "I can smell your arousal My Love." He said with a smirk. My heart starts racing. This is it.

I leaned in again for another kiss and this time it was much more gentle than the last. But I wanted more. I pulled him closer and deepened the kiss. Goddess he tasted so good! I still wanted more. I couldn't stop myself. I started to reach down and unbuckle his pants. He grabbed my hand and pulled it away. "Not like this. Not out of anger that Kai started. I want it to be perfect. For you. I planned this for years now and I'm not going to let anything ruin it." He said still kissing me between words. "I guess that's probably for the best.." I said to him. "What do you mean? Please dont be upset Beautiful I just want it to be perfect. Like you." His words made me melt. "No of course im not mad its just... I'm.. a virgin.." He said nothing he just chuckled. "Go ahead make fun of me." I said rolling my eyes. "Baby that's NOTHING to make fun of. Not only are you perfect, you are pure. I'm going to be you first and your last. Im going to make you mine forever. And soon. Because I can't wait much longer." He said nibbling at my marking spot. "I can't wait to hear you screaming my name." Uugghhhh! Why is he so sweet and romantic and sexy! He started kissing and biting my lips making me moan.

He started walking over to the bed still carrying me. He laid me on my back and towered over me. Then leaned down and gave me another kiss. "Goodnight." He smiled and rolled to the side of me. Ugh! What a tease! No I can't wait its torture! I decided I was going to do the same and tease him back. I got up and went to the closet. "What are you doing?" He asked "Just changing into my pajamas." I casually replied. I hurried to my side of the closet and put on one of the pieces of lingerie I bought it was a cute but extra short, black, laced night gown. I also put on a black lace thong that a bought and went back to bed. Sam was laying on his stomach so he didn't see me walk back in. I go to lay down and toss the blanket to the side Sam is on. He finally looks over. "You've got to be joking... Are you trying to torture me?" I couldn't help but laugh at his words. "Maybe I am." I said in a smart tone. "Ughh." He grunts as he grabs me and pulls me close. It worked. At least that's what I thought... till he covered me with the blanket. Damn it! "Goodnight Beautiful. Sweet dreams." He said kissing my cheek then he went to sleep not once loosening his grasp.

Sam's P.O.V.

The next morning I wanted to do something special for Elora after yesterday. Not to mention when I flipped the glass table last night, I broke her phone too. I want to show her this great spot further into the territory. I ran to the kitchen and grabbed a picnic basket. I decided to put strawberries, sandwiches, and a few bottled waters in the picnic basket. I ran back upstairs to get Elora and a blanket we can sit on. I grab her hand and lead the way out of the pack house. "Where are we going?" Elora said giggling behind me. "Its a spot I found on a run its beautiful. Almost as beautiful as you." I said winking back at her. She shook her head at me as I smiled back at her. We got to the edge of the woods, just a little further now. After we get about 40 feet into the woods I stopped. "Is this it?" She asked looking around. "No, but the thing is it's kind of a long ways away. And I have a meeting, before a meeting in just over an hour. So you're going to meet My wolf Abel. We will carry you there to save time." I told her with a smile as I start to take off my shirt. "You said just a little further." She has her arms crossed. "I ment just a little further till the next step." I give her another wink causing her to smile.

Elora's P.O.V.

Sam hands me the picnic basket and blanket. He started to strip in front of me. Goddess he has such a great body. His muscles are so big. Now that I've seen him with his shirt off I know that not only are his arms covered in tattoos. He has tattoos across his chest and down his back. Before I know it he's just in his boxers. Before he pulls them down he smiles at me. Then turns to the side and pulls them down. In a matter of seconds a huge gray ash colored wolf stood before me. Anyone else would cower in fear. But he was like a magnet to me. He pulled me closer with his presence. He was so beautiful. His eyes are bigger and brighter but still a gorgeous green. "You're beautiful Abel." I tell him in awe. I'm mesmerized. He is the most beautiful wolf I've ever seen. He slowly walked up to me and bent down. I climbed on his back as gently as I could. Abel seemed to want to go already he even used his nose to boost me up making me laugh. "Hey! Haha! Abel!" He snorted and started to run as I held onto his fur. I had Sam's clothes wrapped in the blanket in one arm, and our picnic basket in the other. I already love Abel as much as I love Sam. They're perfect.

Kai's P.O.V.

I was walking past a window when I seen Sam and Elora heading towards the woods. He was leading her by her hand. Where are they going? I need to talk to her. What if he marks her while they're out there? No I can't let that happen! If it does I'll loose my chance to get her back! I started to head to where I seen them going. As I make it outside I see them already about 10 feet past the tree line. I hurry towards them. By the time I get to the tree line myself I see Abel running off with Elora on his back. I have to follow them if I want to talk to her. I quickly strip and Kane picks up our clothes and runs after them. "If you had listened to me in the first place she would still be our mate! We wouldn't have to be going through all of this crap just to talk to her!" Kane angrily said to me. "We were with Ava for over 2 years!" I respond but Kane had to have the last word on this topic of course. "As soon as we found our mate I wanted nothing to do with her. You should have felt the same. But no. Instead I'm stuck with a dumbass. What if we don't get her back? The Moon Goddess won't give us a second chance because of YOUR actions and I have to suffer for it." His words had me speechless. He's right. After running for a few minutes we could see them stop a little ways ahead. This is a good place to stop and get dressed. Ok it's now or never. Here we go.
