Elian sipped his coffee, overwhelmed by the peculiar atmosphere of the café. The patrons seemed to know him, yet he'd never set foot in this world before. Lyra's carefree demeanor put him at ease, but Arden's intense gaze made him squirm.
"So Elian," Lyra said, leaning back her chair, "What do you think of Echoia?"
"It's... surreal," Elian replied, taking in the café's eclectic decor. "How did I get here?"
Arden set his cup down. "You didn't get here. "You've always been here. In a way."
Elian frowned. "What do you mean?"
Lyra intervened, her voice soothing. "Arden, let's not confuse him yet. Elian you'll learn about the connection between our worlds soon enough."
As they chatted, Elian noticed a peculiar symbol etched into the café's wall - an infinity sign with an arrow piercing its centre.
"What's the symbol?" Elian asked, pointing.
Arden's expression turned grave. "The Seal of Separation. It maintains the balance between our worlds."
Lyra leaned in, her voice barely above a whisper. "There are those who seek to disrupt this balance. We need your help to stop them."
Elian's mind reeled. "What makes you think I can help ?"
Lyra smiled mischievously. "You have no idea who you are, do you?"
Before Elian could respond, a commotion erupted outside. The café's patrons rushed to the windows as a dark figure appeared, scribbling strange symbols on the buildings.
"Kael's markings," Arden growled. "He's searching for something...or someone."
Lyra grasped Elian's hand. "Time for you to see more of Echoia. We'll take you to the Oracle."
As they exited the café, Elian felt the weight of this new world settling upon him. The mysterious café, the Seal of Separation, Lyra's enigmatic words swirled in his mind.
"What have I gotten myself into?" Elian wondered.
