Year 3150    8 Years ago__ Demi made her way back to her flat. Thoughts of Reds flooded her head. They don't exist anymore Demi. Or do they? She was about to find out. It started to rain heavily. Demi pulled her yellow hood over her head. She took cautious steps on the soaked floor to keep from slipping. Her flat was around the block. She was a few meters away from her destination when she heard rapid breathing. She would normally just ignore it, but curiosity got the best of her. The noise was coming from the side of the building. She slowly walked over till she was face to face with another girl.  The first thing Demi noticed was that the girl was injured. There was what looked like a stab wound on the girl's shoulder. Her suspicion was proven right when she spotted what looked like a bloody dagger laying on the ground beside the girl. Demi didn't know much about being stabbed, but she knew that the dagger should not have been removed. Demi was overcome with worry. 'We've got to get you to a medical centre!'  The girl with the dark hair looked at her, her face expressionless.  She then glared at Demi. 'I'm fine,' she growled. Demi couldn't believe the stranger in front of her. She was badly injured, and she was refusing help. 'You are clearly not fine.' The girl just rolled her eyes. Demi was caught between the urge of slapping her and helping her.  'My flat is right through here. Just let me stitch you up or something,' Demi pleaded. 'Bad things happen to people who try to help me,' the girl muttered. Demi furrowed her brows. What is she on about?  'Can you walk?' Demi extended her arm.  The girl frowned but took Demi's arm. She flinched a little when she stood up. Her hand went to her shoulder. She then gestured at the dagger. Demi picked it up. 'Why do you need it?' she asked the girl. 'It's mine.' ___ Back at the flat, Demi stitched the girl's wound up. Demi observed the girl for a moment under the better lighting. Her hair was a deep red and her eyes were a sea green. She looked about the same age she was. Was she...?  'Are you a hybrid?'  The girl looked surprised for barely a second. She nodded, nevertheless.  'Blue or Green? I'm a Green.' The girl ignored the question.  'What's that?' The girl looked horrified when she saw where Demi was gesturing. She quickly placed a hand over her trouser pocket.  'How bad can it be?'  Demi asked. Meanwhile the girl's head was full of arguments. Just tell her already. She saved you after all. Are you crazy! You tell her, you kill her. Can't afford another mistake. What if she's different? That last sentence stuck in the girl's head. She removed her hand, and a bottle of golden liquid was visible to Demi. 'What kind of elixir is that?'  The girl hesitated before replying. 'A Red's' The girl braced herself of what was to come next. Demi took a moment to process what the girl has said before her mouth was hanging wide open. 'I-I.. THAT IS SO COOL! I DIDN'T KNOW REDS EXISTED! YOU MUST BE THE LAST ONE. AND YOU'RE IN MY FLAT! MY FLAT!' Demi shrieked.  The girl's eyes were wide in surprise. Not in a million years would she have expected a reaction quite as this. Did the brown-haired girl know what she has done? 'I killed those humans back there,' the girl muttered. 'I kinda figured that out,' Demi said cheerfully. Her eyes were a blazing green. 'I'm Demi. Demi Adair' The girl looked at the hand extended to her. She looked at Demi suspiciously before taking it. 'Alex Creed.'
