'You're a Greeeeen,' came the teasing.
The 2 girls faced the source of the voice. A human boy. The one with the dark hair was furious. The one with the bright green eyes was embarrassed.
The first girl's fists curled up, hard enough to draw blood.
They were on a field trip, visiting archaic bridges. The one they were on had a towering red frame with multiple supporting beams. A thousand thoughts went through the dark-haired girl. None of them good.
She made her way towards the smirking boy. He was shoved over the edge before he comprehended it. The girl watched as he made his way to the water's surface, almost a whole kilometer down. If the fall hadn't killed him, the icy water would have.
'WHAT DID YOU DO?!' the Green shrieked. Luckily, no one was close enough to hear.
The other girl turned her head towards her. Her eyes were bloodshot red and filled with pure joy.
The Green cupped her mouth with her hands, a horrified expression on her face.
'Yy...ou s-said you were a h-uman,' she pointed at the other girl shakily.
All orphans were told tales of what Reds can do. But for all they know, they were extinct. The girl couldn't believe her eyes. She was standing face to face with a murderer. And not a normal one either.
The Red c****d her head to the side.
'Are you going to tell anyone, Lenny?' she asked sweetly.
'Are you crazy?! You shouldn't even be alive!' Lenny shouted.
The Red sighed.
Oh well, guess I'll have to do it again.
'I almost feel bad for this.'
Lenny barely had enough time to process what was happening before she felt her skin melting off. Her cries of agony filled the empty field.
The Red watched her fire lick at the girl until she was nothing but ashes, left to be scattered by the wind.
And that was the second time she killed.
