Alonzo Mariano and Lorenzo have been best friends since high school. Now they are partners at work. When Lorenzo becomes mafia leader, Alonzo handles Lorenzo's legal business.

When there was a problem with some weird fan, event organized people start to execute the authors to their waiting, that when Lorenzo follow Zoey to her waiting room.

At first, he thought she was just like other girls. Zoey also throws herself at Lorenzo if they are in the same room. But his assumption went wrong when she left. That made Lorenzo's curiosity about Zoey increase. So he asks her to drop him. It was the first time in his life he got ‘no’ as an answer. It was also the first time he had been rejected by a girl, so he followed her. When he saw her try to get away from him, he started to walk toward her.

As he follows her, he sees her trembling, as she tries to get her keys from her jacket. It was the moment he lost himself in front of her. He never kneels in front of anyone, but when he sees her body trembling, he loses it. He lost himself, as he knelt in front of her and started to be obsessed with her blush when he said, ‘I won’t hurt you. Trust me.’.

The way she stops trembling when he holds her hand, something inside him says ‘don’t leave her hand’. And when she says OK to drop him, he feels happy to spend more time and stay close to her. He feels Goosebumps when he holds her shoulder. Even though he has his mobile phone with him, he asks her phone to make a call.

He calls his bodyguard on purpose to get to know her number. He starts to open her album to find if she has anyone in her life. Even if she had a boyfriend, he planned to kill him. But all he saw was a photo of a girl. She only took a photo with that one girl. Even though they look so different, in one of the photos she wears a ‘world best mom’ T-shirt and that girl wears ‘world best daughter’.

That’s when he started to think about her age. The more he saw the photos, he realized the father was not in the picture, so he still had a chance. By Mia's text, he gets to know her daughter’s name, Lily. Then he chuckled as he saw the text from Lily and started reading their old texts. When they reach their destiny, that’s when he remembers that he didn’t introduce himself to her. He likes that reaction on her face when he introduces himself. He starts to obsess about her at that moment.

But he had to go to attend the most important meeting, so he purposely leaves his business card on her jacket. On the way to his meeting, he asks his top bodyguard for her number and orders him to collect information about her. He got her information on that night.

That’s when he gets to know that her name is Zoey and Lily was her adopted child. She got a fake marriage with someone named Zack, for lily adoption process and she divorced him. She emigrated from Australia to here. Her information is only from when she came here.

There’s nothing about her parents or lily's biological parents in that information. He even gets to know the list of the books she wrote. He ordered the books she wrote that night before going to sleep. He even dreamed about her as they held hands and walked around a garden in his mansion. Since then, he has been looking at photos of Zoey he got from his man who been following Zoey without her knowing.
