I Owe the Villain

Prologue  When I was twelve, I saw random kids throwing stones at a spider who happened to have its home among the flowers. And that’s how I realized the cruelty of this world. --Lory Arguzas Chapter One Zyon Oulixeus Arvanni, the Duke of House Ivalo is a mysterious and cold man and at the same time, the main villain from the novel I read. However, despite his rude and monochromatic attitude, he deeply loves Aeilin Eruña, the female lead. But even if a fire of love ablazed, without proper care, its either the flames run out, or the flames will burn everything. And he is both. He is the coldest wind in winter and at the same time his obsession is scorching bright like an erupting volcano. Zyon Oulixeus Arvanni’s love is like committing an Arson. His flames are blazing red, too hot that it’s enough to put everything into ashes. He is the darkness beyond, like the starless night. And it is not wise to anger a beast like him. That is what’s inside Lory Jang’s thoughts when she got stuck inside the very novel that she read before she died because of a fire accident. Lory Jang transmigrated and possessed the body of Lory Arguzas, an unknown character. Lory was sitting in an open garden in her very own land, under a parasol while having a cup of fresh orange juice. The character she possessed is not rich, noble or someone who has an important status. The very fortunate thing for Lory Jang is the fact that the character she possessed is not a slave or someone who’s terminally ill. She is currently living in the country side, away from the capital and away from the chaotic characters of the story. It is a good opportunity for her because she doesn’t want to meddle in any of them. Lory got up, fix the wrinkle on her skirt and slightly stretch her back. Lory Jang’s new body has a flowy and wavy waist-length hair as bright as the Sahara Desert. A pale skin and a petite physique that she was worried about. ‘Does this lady eat?’ Lory Jang thought to herself upon recalling nothing about the character she possessed. “I should get a medical checkup just to make sure.” She muttered as a whisper before she took her belongings she used on her short-timed pick nick back to her simple house a few distance behind her. When the rain stopped, Lory had already changed into a more decent clothes. She was heading to the capital to look for a doctor since it’s her first time literally in the world she’s currently in and she’s not very familiar to the place yet. Her long hair we’re braided neatly and was locked by a butterfly ornament. She took her small wallet and put it inside her right pocket before she wears her leather boots that she put beside the door. After stepping outside, the sun was already out, and her forest green eyes glimmered just by the sunlight. “Why can’t I remember anything?” She whispered before she locked the door and started to walk towards the main road which is strangely far away from her house. ‘Did Lory Arguzas commit a crime? Is that why she lives like a hermit?’ Lory Jang mumbled inside her head. After almost an hour of walking and passing through big and numerous trees, and making sure there are no bears, snakes or other creatures that could danger her poor self, she managed to arrive at the main road. She waited and stood beside the road for another thirty minutes, fortunately there’s a carriage transporting foods and other stuffs from the neighboring town that pass by. The driver permitted her to ride with just two gold coins and the ride went smoothly not until the driver asked her a lot of questions along the way. In a few more hours wasted, Lory already saw the grand gates of the Capital. As soon as they entered, she bid her farewell to the kind driver before she went to her way. Like the novel says, the Capital is lively and prosperous, and Lory cannot contain her awe upon seeing the classical and exquisite ambiance of the place. ‘Wow! This place is indeed gorgeous more than what I imagined when I read it!’ Lory Jang thought. Upon a few steps, she saw a familiar figure. Someone whose physique and face are uniquely created by the gods. Just a glimpse of her amber eyes, Lory automatically had an idea who she was. ‘Aelin Eruña? Woah! She’s even more beautiful than I thought she would be!’ Aelin Eruña has a remarkable beauty, her shiny light brown hair is as straight as her virtues. A porcelain skin, a pink and soft lips and her amber eyes that gazes so softly to everyone she encounters. She is very kind and gentle yet smart and brave, this is why the male lead and the villain is smitten to her. She knows when to be soft and when to be not. The day is bright, and the wind gently blows Aelin’s shiny strands of hair. Her gentle eyes gazes at Lory for a moment, but Lory being agitated immediately look away from her. ‘Wait… I remembered something.’ Lory thought all of a sudden. ‘It was a scenario in the novel where the female lead, Aelin, was having a trip in the Capital. Aelin being extraordinarily beautiful that she captured everyone’s attention… even the cold gaze of Zyon Oulixeus Arvanni.’ Lory halted from walking and gazes at her environment. Amidst the crowd who are busily staring at Aelin, Lory saw a tall man from a few distance, he has this silky hair whose color is like the setting sun from the horizon, deep blue eyes who gazes deeply on everyone, and a prominent face that resembles a masterpiece. ‘Zyon Oulixeus Arvanni is here!’ Her inner self screamed in shock. ‘Indeed his deep blue eyes are very majestic.’ Her thoughts continued to flow. “But why does he keep on staring at me…?” Lory whispered in the thin air. “Seize her!!” A knight shouted pointing at Lory’s direction. “By the order of the Duke of House Ivalo don’t let her escape!” Numerous knights run towards Lory who was baffled for a moment before she run away as fast as she can. ‘I don’t know why all of you are chasing me or why does the Duke of House Ivalo orders to capture me but I feel like I shouldn’t let any of you take me!!?’ Lory Jang’s inner voice yelled in her head. She keeps on bumping on so many commoners before she went straight to a narrowed alley. Lory is not very familiar to the capital so she just went straight to anywhere as long as to keep herself away from the knights that are running to catch her. Not until it was the dead end. Lory give up on running while she stared at the tall walls in front of her with a pale face. When she heard footsteps in a few distance behind her, she faced her back with heavy breathings hoping she could still escape but she saw a silhouette standing in the dark part of the narrowed pathway where she passed by a while ago. And from the shadows, Zyon Oulixeus Arvanni took a step in the light with his cold deep blue eyes staring intently at her while holding his unsheathed sword. “It’s been a while Lory Arguzas, do you still remember me?” He muttered wearing his evil smirk.
