Episode Five

Daciana's Point Of View

The situation was already awkward and I had to just pretend so Zane doesn't have any reason to question me.

“Thank you” I collected the bouquets of flowers she was handing to me. And she led the way to the car outside.

“Mummy, when are we going to see uncle Alexander? Pete asked and Zane lifted him up

“You know uncle Alexander?”

“Yes, he is a magician and he is very funny” Pete said and Zane was amazed. Everyone knew Alexander was a cold alpha. He rarely had time for other things other than official alpha duties. How come he was playing with Pete?

“Alpha Alexander came to the house to officially invite me for the ceremony “ I said trying to cover things up but Zane looked angry.

“You did not tell me the supreme alpha was at your place Star, it's a rare privilege and I would have loved to have a one on one chat with him about the recent rogue attack we have been facing” Zane complained.

“You never told me about any attack, is it very serious?” I asked Zane and he said all that did not matter now.

“Let's just get to our rooms and settle down, hopefully after the ceremony we will get the privilege of meeting alpha Alexander personally.

The drive to the hotel was too slow for me. I hated every moment I spent in the car trying to calm myself down. The city had changed, everywhere looked beautiful but my heart still wretched been there.

We got to the hotel and I was led to my room. It was a five star hotel, my room was the VVIP lodge. It was fancy, exquisite and screamed wealth at every turn.

“Pete, stop jumping on the bed” but my words fell on deaf ears as he continued to jump on the bed until he fell and hurt his knees.

“I told you to stop but you did not listen” I rushed to his side and lifted him up, placed him on the bed and quickly called the hotel reception for a first aid kit.

Few minutes later to my surprise, I heard a knock on the door and I rushed to get it hoping it was the first aid kit but it was Alexander holding a pack of ice.

“Hey buddy, I heard you have a booboo?”

“Uncle Alexander” Pete jumped down ignoring his wound and flew on him.

“Let me take a look, I am sure it's nothing a big boy like you cannot handle” Pete smiled and sat down on the bed while Alexander checked his knee. He placed the pack of ice on the knee and in no time the swelling had gone down and Pete was on his feet again without a scratch.

“Thank you uncle Alexander, I don't feel any pain again”

“How about you go downstairs and get some pizza and ice cream?” Alexander asked and Pete, smiled.

Alexander made a call to the reception and a guard quickly came to take Pete for the ice cream.

The room suddenly felt small as I was alone with Alexander.

“How long did you think you could hide from me Daci?” He moved close to me, his eyes shooting daggers at me as I moved backwards until my back was against the wall.

“You took my child away and now you want to pretend you don't know me?”

“If you don't stop right now, I will call the security and report you” I said, my voice shaking but I managed to compose myself.

“I don't know you and if you continue to stalk me, I will get a restraining order against you”

“Go ahead Daci, call them and I would let everyone know you are my mate, the mother of my son”

“Don't you dare Alex, don't call him your son. The last time I checked you called him a “thing”. Stay away from me and my child, I don't want you in my life”

Alexander laughed.

“You think your hot model body would not allow me recognize you? No matter how much you change your identity and disguise Daci, you still belong to me and your scent is all that fills my nostrils”

My heart began to beat loudly, I am sure Alexander could hear it. He placed one of his hands on the wall across me and with one hand he pulled me closer. His breath was hot, fanning my neck as his deep blue eyes drew me in.

“Now Daci, how do you intend to pay me for the miserable five years you made me go through?”

“How dare you? You left me when I needed you the most and for what? You hid me because I was a disgrace to you and l was not worthy to be called your mate”

Alexander scuffed.

“Is that how you feel? Daci I have never complained about how you looked, everything about you was just perfect for me but you had to run away and leave me when I also needed you the most!”

His words made no sense, as I struggled to remove myself from his grip. Luckily I heard a knock on the door and I knew it was Henry.

“Mummy, they gave me three flavors of ice cream and pizza”

“Did you tell uncle Alexander thank you?” I asked with a smirk and Pete hugged him

“Thank you uncle Alexander, I can't wait to follow you to the water park”

“Sure Pete, just tell mummy to call me when you are ready, ok?”

“It's late and we need to rest, it was a long flight “

“Sure Daci, don't forget Pete is my son. He has the ability to heal himself “ he whispered to me before giving Pete a high five and headed out.

I sighed in relief but Alex's words still remained stuck in my head. Why was he lying? Turning things around when it was obvious he was the one who said he wanted nothing to do with me or my child?
