Chapter 18

1119 Words
Cosmo’s Cleo called me last night, telling me that if I want her, I should get my act together, and I immediately asked for advice from Steve. He is the one married after all. He said I should take Cleo out on a date, so I am not going to work today as I have to sleep and be more than ready for our dinner date tonight. I don’t know why, but I am so freaked out about meeting her that I don’t know why. My nerves are racking up. I have never been nervous, and I mean NEVER. I hate what this girl is doing to me. I spent a whole hour typing and deleting the text asking her to go on a date with me; she didn’t reply, but she saw it. This is the third suit I am tossing on top of the bed; they seem to look so bad on me for some reason. I mean, they always look great on me; why did I even agree to Steve’s stupid suggestion? I am only left with 30 minutes until the date, and I am still not dressed. The fact that we don’t cast a reflection is making things worse; I should be looking myself in the mirror now. I am half naked, looking at the suits on top of the bed. I am going to put on the first one that I lay my hand on. I closed my eyes and went in the direction of the bed and picked. I opened my eyes, picked up a silver maroon suit, and time is not on my side. I have to put this on. I paired it with a white shirt and didn’t button the two top buttons. I went out, and I bought flowers on my way for some reason. When I got to the restaurant, I saw her heading for the entrance. I already knew that she was going to be pretty as always, but she looked way prettier this evening. She wore a blood red dress with a slit that elegantly showed her smooth thighs and perfectly fitted her small curves. She is breathtaking. I even forgot the fact that I was late. I rushed and caught up to her just in time. "Evening, my lady.” I said clearly disturbing her from whatever she was thinking. She took my breath away more when I was close to her; she smelled like strawberries. "Evening." She softly whispered, and we were gawking at each other’s eyes until a guy who works in the restaurant spoke. We immediately faced him. "Evening, any reservations? He politely smiled. "Mr Sternberg." I said it abruptly. "Please follow me. And we did as instructed; he led us to a table away from many people. I might have overdone it. The place was beautifully decorated, as I asked. There were roses on the table; they were light red and a bit dark. It was when I remembered that I left the flowers I bought her in the car. When we reached the table, the waiter left us. I stood there, not knowing what to do, until I saw her looking between me and the chair. F**k. “Excuse me. I awkwardly pulled the chair for her, which made her to chuckle. To tell you the truth, it’s my very first time going out on a date.”I confessed to taking a seat. "You cannot tell me such an arrogant man has never had a girlfriend.” She said blushing. "Something like that. Can I get you something to drink? "If all this facade of being a gentleman doesn’t work, I am going to kill Steve." I thought to myself. "Champagne will be fine, thanks." I pressed a bell button on the table, and the waiter attended to us. I ordered drinks for us while we were going through the menu. "I might have gotten you some flowers then forgot them in the car; I know I suck at this.”I made her to laugh. I love the feeling I get when hear her laugh ; it felt so warm, and weirdly, it also made me happy. "I am rating you two out of ten in the meantime; you can still add your score, though." "Challenge accepted." We were now taking a scroll in the street; it’s crazy how taken she is by the beauty of the lights. After we had dinner, we decided to take a scroll and have an ice cream while taking a walk; this was the best first date. The more time I spend with her, the more I fall in love with her. She is just so perfect. So did I really get this wonderful girl as a mate? "I think we should go back now, or else I won’t be able to walk tomorrow because of these heels.” She laughed. I will have to say that I think I like her smile more. "Can I drive you home? My bodyguard will drive your car to your place.”I offered. "If you insist." We went back to the restaurant to get the car and drove to her house. I parked on the driveway, and her car was already parked. "Thank you for today; it was really nice,”she said, blushing. "Thank you for taking your time to go out with me after everything that happened between us." "Let me go then, she said, opening the door and leaving. I just looked at her go. "A kiss?" I thought to myself, then remembered the flowers and had to use them as an excuse to get close to her. "My lady, your flowers. She was getting inside her car when I called out to her, and I reached her side. "They are beautiful, thank you. I looked deep into her brown eyes, and my cold heart felt warm, though it sure wasn’t. I cupped her cheeks and placed my lips on hers. All sorts of emotions were flowing in my body; she was like a magnetic thing. My hands are now on her buttocks, and I realised that when I heard her moans and immediately put a space between us. If I continue, I won’t be able to stop myself until I get inside of her. "Good night, my lady.” I kissed her forehead and went to my car. When I got inside the car I breathed heavily, I didn’t even notice that I was holding my breath. My bodyguard couldn’t help but laugh. “Really? Just get us out of here, Aaron.” “Yes,sir.” He drives away, I kept my eyes down until the view of Cleo’s house was gone.
