Chapter 6

Veronicas POV.

"Where the hell is that dumb mutt?" Sammie asked.

"I don't know babe. Maybe she's not coming in today." Justine said. She was sitting in Sammie's lap.

"We can only wish!" I said.

"Mariah! No running in the hallway!" Miss Rivers yelled.

"Veronica! Your lovey- what the hell are you wearing dumb ass?" Sammie said, looking at Mariah.

I looked over. Oh dear god! Help me! Mariah was wearing a shirt that had a picture if me and 'I love my baby!' on it.

"Do you like it Veronica? I had it made!" Mariah yelled excitedly.

"Uhhh. No. I don't. It scares me." I answered.

"Oh. Okay. I'll try something else then." Mariah said, walking over and sitting down. Geez! The girl won't give up!

I put my headphone in and blared my music. I had closed my eyes so I hadn't noticed that the bell had rung and Miss Rivers had walked in. I started to sing along with the chorus.

"We will only need each other. We will bleed together, our hands will not be torn to need another's.-" I was cut off by my headphones being pulled it. Sammie nodded to the front of the room, where a smiling Miss Rivers stood.

"Good morning Veronica. Thanks for the little bit of music." She said, still smiling.

I looked around the room. The whole class was looking at me. So much for not making a fool of myself. I looked back at Miss Rivers, "Morning." I gave her an embarrassed smile.

"As I was saying, in history you are to go in and sit down. Each class, the first person to walk in will pass out the tests. There will be absolutely no talking." She laughed as everyone groaned.

"So if I'm the first one in class, I can pass out the tests?" Double A asked. Stupid little b***h.

Say no. Say no. Say no! "Yes Alex. That is what I just said."

Fuck you Alex! f**k you!

Sammie chuckled quietly beside be. Alex, or Double A, also had I huge crush in Miss Rivers. But she can't have her. She's mine!

"Maybe you could rub it in that Miss Rivers asked you to stay and not her." Justine suggested.

"Justine, I love you! That's an awesome idea!" I whisper/yelled.

"What's so interesting back there ladies?" Miss Rivers asked.

"Huh?" I asked. Had she been talking? I had zoned her out again?

"Well Veronica, if you had been paying attention, you would know that Miss Rivers was going over what the test was going to be about." Alex said, smirking at me. Stupid little suck up b***h!

"You'll fail anyways Alex. Because unlike your nickname, Double A, you haven't got any A's sense 6th grade!" Justin said. He was always sticking up for us.

"Enough! Justine, would you please tell the class what you and Veronica were talking about?" Miss Rivers asked.

"Oh. Nothing much really. Just about how Alex is a bitch." Justine said.

Miss Rivers sighed, bug before she could say anything the bell rang. Saved by the bell! Alex and I jumped up. Everyone wales out, but me? No. No I RAN out of there. Thank god I had my history stuff in my bag! Double A and Miss Rivers walked side-by-side down the hallway. That should be me!

"That eager to pass out tests Veronica?" Miss Rivers asked. She was showing her million dollar smile.

I smiled, "Yep. I love passing out tests." LIES! I only liked it because I could peek sometimes.

She laughed and we walked in. Double A and I glaring at each other. I got to stand next to her until the tardy bell rang. Then I started passing out the tests.

"Okay guys. Those of you in my homeroom, you've already heard this. Take your time and do your best. This test is based mainly on our first lesson. We will be starting that the lesson tomorrow. Don't look until I say to." Miss Rivers said as I handed her back the rest if the tests. "Thanks Veronica. Okay guys. You may begin!"

Everyone flipped their test over and started. 45 minutes later I was finished. I walked over to Miss Rivers. She had her glasses on and was reading some random novel. She looked up at me and smiled. I smiled back. She was so adorable with her glasses. I made sure to 'accidentally' brush her hand as I handed her my test. I turned and walked back to my seat.

Katie's POV.

I watched Veronica as she walked back to her desk. I just couldn't stop thinking about her. Or the hug we shared yesterday. I wonder if I'll get another one today? I sighed and went back to pretending to read my book. I felt Veronica's eyes on me and smiled. About 20 minutes later I stood up.

"Okay guys of your not done you can finish it Ina study hall or I will give you time tomorrow to finish up." I said. The rest of y students got up and handed me their tests. The bell rang after I had all of them.

"Veronica and Double A," I waited until they were both looking at me. "Your both staying to help me after school today right?"

"Yes Miss Rivers." Alex smiled.

I smiled back and looked over at Veronica. My smile faded and my heart broke at the crest fallen look on my baby's face.

"I'm not sure. I have to call my mom. No promises though." Veronica said.

She looked really upset. I wanted to comfort my baby but before I could say or do anything, she was gone. Veronica hadn't wanted it to be just the two of us, had she?"

Veronica's POV.

"No way!" Sammie said.

I had told her and Justine about Alex during math. Mariah, of course, had been listening in. "Yes way." I responded.

"She's such a b***h!" Justine whispered.

"I know. I just don't get it. She's a cheerleader. Why go after Miss Rivers?" Sammie asked.

"Because she's hot?" Justine and I simultaneously said.

"Besides that." Sammie said.

"Because she hates me?" I asked.

"Or because she actually thinks she has a chance with her." Justine said.

"Either way. She's still a stupid b***h. Oh! We could totally prank her! Like really bad!" Sammie suggested. Justine and Mariah agreed.

I smirked, "Welcome back 'Ice Bitches'?" Ice Bitches is what everyone called us when we used to prank the school.

They all grinned, "Welcome back Ice Bitches!"

With that said, we forgot our class work and got to work planning the prank. We'll just have to inform Justin later. A storm is brewing.
