Lisanna

Sometimes I've always wondered how Melody had gotten her makeover, who helped her and why did she change her attitude?

I watched as Melody wrapped around Asher as she whispered some words incoherently into his ear, Asher was simply staring at her as if she was the most attractive girl he's ever seen. The love of his life, ew that makes me sick.

I got up from my seat and walked out of the lunch hall, hell no I wasn't putting up with her drama. Whenever Melody joins Asher and I for lunch she's always talking about other people, hell her friend Bethany, who I may think helped her with the makeover sits with us and acts like some lost puppy around Melody.

"Lisanna, how's life?" I turned around to find my good friend Yuki, I looked at the petite Asian girl as I hugged the day lights out of her.

"Girl, where have you been all day; I haven't seen you at all." I smile.

"Really Lisanna, I saw you bunking school, I even saw Luca Easton with you." Yuki smirks.

"Wait how? There was nobody outside." I say as Yuki smiles cheekily.

"I kind of stared outside my classroom window and found you guys talking." She says as she fixed her two French braids.

We walked inside the toilets as Yuki frowned at the mirror.

"My bangs look hideous." She says as she adjusted her bangs.

"I think they look nice." I say before I heard the bathroom door opening.

Yuki rolled her eyes as she noticed who walked inside the toilets.

I turned around to find Melody and Bethany staring at us, typical mean girls.

"What?" I snap.

"Why are you speaking to me like that?" Melody barks.

"Excuse me, she can speak to you however she wants, know your place Melody." Yuki backs me.

"Ew, it stinks of rats." Bethany says, her insults were weak.

"Weak." Yuki says as I chuckle.

Melody places her hand bag on the counter of the toilets as she applies a layer of lip gloss.

"You know Lisanna, I wouldn't want Asher to find out the way you treat me." Melody says in a sickly sweet voice.

"You actually think I care, go tell Asher, it's not like he'd believe you." I looked at Melody in disgust, she was piling up that lipgloss like her life depended on it.

"Oh hun, you don't know what Asher thinks about you, is he really your best friend?" Melody says before patting my shoulder as she walks out the bathroom.

Yuki looke me concerned as Bethany stops to look at me.

"Know who your friends are." She says before she walks out of the bathroom as I roll my eyes.

"I could say the same for you."

"What's their deal?" Yuki asks me as I sigh.

"I don't know, why doesn't everyone realise she's a bad person?" I ask Yuki, Yuki looks at me as she let out a long sigh.

"She's slept with half the football team and she has a reputation of manipulating people." She says as I frown.

"She's bad for Asher." I say as Yuki gave me a look.

"Are you saying that because you care for Asher as a good friend or that you feel something for him." Yuki says as my breath hitches.

"No I don't feel something for Asher, come on Yuki; you know he's my best friend." I say as Yuki laughs.

"Testing you." She says before she walks out of the bathroom.

I looked at the mirror in front of me, maybe if I got a new hair cut and start voicing out my thoughts: maybe I'll finally play Melody at her own game.

I sigh once more before I walked out of the bathroom.

I found Yuki texting on her phone as she leaned on a locker behind her.

I was walking towards her but then I bumped into someone, I looked up to find Luca.

He looked at me for a second before walking off with his best friend Xander.

Yuki suddenly looks up and smirks.

"Well are you always going to have these moments with Luca?" She says as I lean on the locker beside her.

"Two times Yuki, I've only bumped into him twice." I frown at my friends immaturity.

"It's a sign." She says dramatically as I walked beside her to my next lesson, which was History.

"I was thinking about having a change." I say as Yuki seemed interested.

"If you're changing to have some dramatic makeover like Melo-" I interject Yuki.

"Girl, I just want a new haircut that's all." I chuckle as Yuki lets out a sigh of relief.

"To be honest I don't understand why people are obsessed with Melody, I don't get how guys are always throwing themselves at her; she's not as gorgeous as you." Yuki says making me smile.

"Maybe they throw themselves at her because low prices attract the most customers." I grin as Yuki laughs at my very childish joke.

"So you're saying she's a hoe." Yuki enquires.

"Well, judging by the amount of guys she's been with, you could say that: I'm not about the slut shaming life." I say slightly contradicting myself.

"Lisanna." I turn around to find Asher, he looks slightly mad.

I look at Yuki as she shrugged her shoulders.

Asher grabbed my arm as he pulled me near a corner.

"What did you say to Melody? She's crying her eyes out telling me that you said something rude to her." Asher says furiously.

"You actually believe her?" I chuckle.

"I'm serious, why do you have such a big problem with her?" Asher says, breaking my heart slightly.

"Because you don't know what she's like." I mumble.

"No, I know what she's like, If you're going to act like that to my girlfriend then I don't want anything to do with you." Asher snaps.

"Is that so?" I say looking at Asher.

"You're honestly finding this funny? For once in your life Lisanna, don't be a self centred bitch." Asher said before walking away.

I watched as Asher walked towards a crestfallen looking Melody, he engulfs her in a hug as she tears up.

I clench my fists as I found some of my classmates watching me, so they've witnessed everything.

I turned around, bunking History seems like a good idea now.

Don't cry Lisanna, the last time you cried was when your parents died.

He's just a boy, a very irrelevant boy.

I walk out of school, only to find Luca sitting down on the hood of his car with some of his friends.

My motorcycle was near his car, great.

"Lisanna." I found my name being called, I saw Xander, Luca's best friend slightly grinning.

"What?" I say sternly, I wasn't in the mood for anything; I just wanted to go home.

"I was wonderi-" I interject Xander.

"I don't care what you're wondering, I have to go." I snap before getting on my motorcycle, I place my helmet on but before I drove off I heard a few words.

"Luca, she could help." Xander says as I turn around to find Luca looking up the sky.

Once I got home I slam my door shut, I had enough: this was it.

Melody has reached the limits, she's slowly manipulating everyone.

I lost my best friend because of her, slowly I'll lose everyone because of her.

I heard the doorbell ring, who could be here?

After contemplating whether to open the door I finally walk towards the door and open it to find Yuki.

"Liz." Yuki hugs me tightly.

"Let's get your hair done, lets do everything; Melody's times are over: this b***h is finished." Yuki says as I smile.

"Starting from tomorrow?" I look at Yuki.

"Starting from tomorrow." She confirmed.
