Dragon’s Eye - The Kingdom of Nerelai

    Once upon a time during the age of knights and dragons, there was a kingdom in disarray because the people there were being haunted a fearsome Dragonborn, a person born with the body of a mortal and the soul of a dragon, whom every night would take the shape of a fighting fire breathing dragon and attack the kingdom. The king of the land did not know what to do since most of his brave knights have been beaten by the Dragonborn. Only the king’s mages remain the most powerful wizards of the land, which were his last line of defense. They could craft weapons with arcana, these weapons had the strongest magic ever conceived.     One brave knight in training decided to take the fight, but he was not so good with the way of the sword, he was agile and was more adamant with the way of the bow. He took his family’s sacred bow and a magical arrow crafted by the king’s mages and went on the outskirts of the kingdom to meet the Dragonborn.      The Dragonborn laugh and said “This is all you have to offer me now?, a mere boy?, fine after I get rid of him I will relinquish the king and take over as the new tyrant of this land, all the secrets of this kingdom shall be mine ”, he looked at the knight in training across the field and smirked. “Come on then you get the first and only shot”, he said. The knight in training took a stand, prepared the bow and magical arrow, and with great strength shot at him. As he did, the arrow took off with tremendous speed cutting everything in its path. In an instant, it reached Dragonborn and hit him in his left eye. The arrow then exploded and the explosion was so massive and strong the wind pushed back the knight in training. He looked back and noticed the Dragonborn was gone. The only remains were a jade stone in the shape of an eye. He smiled but only for a moment. He noticed a big shadow above him and looked up there he was in dragon form, bleeding out of his left eye. “Curse you boy! Curse you! You took my eye out, now you will die”, said the Dragonborn and took a deep breath and shot a big ball of fire at the knight in training, the knight in training stood tall and like an harp pull on the string of the sacred bow, the sound resonated throughout the whole kingdom. The ball of fire vanished in the blink of an eye. The Dragonborn could not believe this, and then as he looked at the kingdom he noticed it was blurry and all of his surroundings became blurry too. Maybe it was a spell he thought. The knight in training suddenly said “From now on you will never hurt the people of this kingdom ever again, you are my prisoner now! We will be trapped in a time prison forever, a space that is outside of anyone's reach. Mother, father, sister I am sorry for being selfish” “No this cannot be happening!”, said the Dragonborn. Both the Dragonborn and the knight in training vanish from the outskirts of the kingdom. The mages recover the jade eye and store it in a magical vault. The king threw a grand celebration as all he knew is that the Dragon was no more. The king erected a statue of the knight in training defeating the dragon, the young knight became a legend and the battle became lore.
