Chapter 17During breakfast, Phil told me he wanted to stop at the newspaper office before we hunted down the Burke's Hotel site. His curiosity had the better of him, and he wanted to see if anything else strange had been going on over the last hundred years or so in relation to the Lincoln Highway and the Burke's Hotel. The charming town of Carroll wasn't very big, and according to our host, Becky, the newspaper office was just around the corner from the theatre, previously the site of the Burke's Hotel.
