Chapter 46We drove to the north end of the cement factory, turning into the gravel lot just past the property fence line. Railroad tracks ran through the factory and popped out on the northern edge; five hopper cars sat solemnly awaiting their next load. Pete instructed Billy to cross over the tracks and park behind the hoppers. Both vehicles were positioned so that we could make chase quickly if we needed too. Pete sent Darius over the factory fence to a grouping of parked semis, where he could conceal himself but still see the road. Sammy took cover behind the hoppers near our vehicles, and Pete, Billy, and I walked over to the cluster of trees and shrubs, where we'd have some cover.
