Chapter 34Billy would never use our frequently acquired aches and bruises as an excuse to get out of something, so I'd interpreted her abrupt departure as her way of saying “get rid of her so we can talk privately.” I waited a few minutes for Kat to make her way out of the hotel, then texted Billy.
