My head ached so bad as I woke up. My hands and feet are tied up in a chair. I turned my head around to see all of my friends.
Zara, Audrey, Morgana, Luke, and Cyfrin.
All tied up.
Someone’s missing.
I turned around to see Blake and Merlin arms around each other.
“Sorry, man.”
I scoffed. Another traitor, great. I’m so sick of people pretending to be someone they’re not. I thought by leaving, I prevent them from being in danger, but no. I should’ve paid more attention to people, that way I wouldn’t be betrayed.
“Give us the necklace.” Merlin demanded.
I just stared at them furiously. My heart started to beat faster when I hear footsteps approaching.
Apollyon.
He grabbed my chin and made me look at him. As his face was closer, I spitted on him, mocking him.
“You will never find the necklace.” I said pretending I hid it.
“Just give it to me!” He whined.
“Give it or else” he pointed a gun at Cyfrin.
“Your boyfriend goes bye bye.”
“Or we could kill your sister first. Who’s it gonna be?” He pointed the gun towards everyone.
“Fine.” I said. “I’ll give you the necklace.” I breathed heavily. “On one condition.” I stated.
“What?”
“You leave me and my friends alone.” I calmly said. “Got it?” I raised an eyebrow at him.
“Give me the necklace, first.”
“Untie me, first.” I commanded.
He nodded at Merlin and Blake. As they untied me, I immediately kicked Apollyon in the face which made him fall. I used my Omnipresence to untie my friends all at once.
Before I could fully process everything, Apollyon kicked my leg which made me fall. I grabbed his feet and pulled him towards me then beat him up. Audrey, Morgana and Zara was busy beating up the goons while Cyfrin and Luke beat up Blake and Merlin. Before I could stand up, Apollyon ran towards Cyfrin. He took the gun and point it at Cyfrin’s head.
I had no choice but to accept defeat. All of them stared at me. I can’t lose Cyfrin. Not now, not ever. I took the necklace from my neck and held it high.
“Orphic, NO!”
I stared at Cyfrin with tears in my eyes.
“Before I give you the necklace, let go of Cyfrin.”
“How can I trust you?”
I raised both my hands.
As he released Cyfrin, I quickly pulled him and turned around.
Bang!
The ringing in my ears went loud that the only thing I heard were my friends' muffled shouts. I can feel my body slowly falling even though Cyfrin was holding me.
My heart was slowly giving up.
Then suddenly, everything went black.
