The rain falls in dreams,
Shadow gets to say his piece,
Mark makes discoveries,
Sometimes you can be so wrong,
Friendship comes after rainfall.
Amelina slept until midday, exhausted by the extraordinary events and terrors she had experienced in the meadow.
When she awoke, her immediate concern was for her father’s wellbeing, terrified that perhaps she hadn’t saved him after all, or perhaps it had all been too much for his heart. She could hear her mother downstairs, clearing up the kitchen, she rushed to their bedroom, her heart pounding, fearful what she might find. He was asleep in bed, a gentle snore rumbling as his body twitched as if he was dreaming. She drew in a breath of relief as her eyes filled with tears.
