Merlin breathed normally and he cleared his throat and spoke: “The moonstone vision tells us much about Ryder. You must watch and guide him. He’s tempted to follow a path that will lead him to grave peril. You must ensure he does not do so.”
“How can I do that, Merlin?” I asked in a dream-like voice.
“You must talk to him; explain to him the error of his ways. You can heal him. With crystal magic, you can drive the evil shadow from his soul.” Merlin worked his fingers meditatively through his long beard as he spoke.
