Chapter 22 Cassian ran into the hallway. He glanced over his shoulder and once he saw his men disappear under the wooden grate, he screamed loudly. “Help!” he squealed. “Please help me!” A dozen men appeared in an instant, swords already drawn. “They killed the soldiers,” Cassian said, sobbing. “They said they were going to the dungeons to free someone. You have to stop them!” Five of the twelve ran the direction of the dungeons, the others hurried into the yard. With them distracted, Cassian went back to the kitchen. He spotted Gullen by a stove. His heart eased a bit. At least the woman hadn’t betrayed him and run off. Cassian stumbled into the room and cried out loudly.
