Chapter 23 Yashiv struggled to breathe in the confines of the rolled-up rug. It was tight and the pressure pushed on his lungs, keeping him from taking a deep breath. He hoped the other men were doing better. He suddenly felt claustrophobic, a sensation he never thought he’d experience. He’d been unable to move for the past hour. His whole body ached from the awkward position. If it came to a fight on their way out, he’d be useless. His muscles were locked in place, and he wouldn’t be able to lift a sword.
