Their First Fight.

“Let her go.” He ordered the teen wearing demon. He hadn't raised his voice, but Amy had heard the threat clearly. The soul eater chose to ignore him. “You know there used to be a time when a guy could enjoy his meal in peace.” The demon said through the teenager's mouth. “Now days we have bounty hunters, Silver Arrows and even Angels interfering. What's a guy got to do to get a little break?” He squeezed Amy's neck and she flinched. Kynan shrugged. “Well maybe if you didn't eat people?” The soul eater just glared. Suddenly Amy got an idea. She still had her camera in her hand. She pointed it at the guy behind her and took his photograph. The sudden flash of light in his eyes distracted him. Amy simultaneously stomped on his foot and elbowed him in the ribs just like Raze had taught her to do in this kind of situation. Gracefully she skipped out of his reach and prepared to punch him in the face. But the tall stranger beat her to the punch. Literally. His fist collided with the teenager's chin sending him staggering backwards. He glared at them both, murder in his eyes. They both expected him to go charging at Kynan but he set his eyes on Amy and charged her instead. She steadied her stance but just like before, Kynan was quicker. He barreled into the kid and they both went to the ground in a whirl of fists and feet. “Run!” Kynan yelled out to her. They wrestled on the ground punching each other, both trying to get the upper hand. It was clear that the demon was giving the body he was in extra strength because there was no way a skinny kid like that could match Kynan in a fight. The demon pulled a butterfly knife out of the kid's pocket and jammed it into Kynan's side. He cried out at the sudden pain slicing his ribs, demons never played fair. The boy wearing demon rolled on top of Kynan and raised the knife for a more deadlier strike. That's when Amy stepped in and delivered a kick to the demon's ribs sending him flying off of Kynan. She picked up the knife he had dropped and stood over Kynan protectively. Cursing the demon fled the boy and left his body slumped on the ground. Shaking Amy dropped down on her knees beside Kynan. She could see his face clearly now. He was handsome with strong cheek bones and sinfully full lips. His eyes were jade green and as he tried to sit up, she saw pain flash in them. Instantly she pushed him back down. “Don't move.” She told him and turned her attention to his wound. She pressed her hands over the bleed like she'd been taught, and pressed down. He hissed and she realised she was pushing too hard. Amy eased back a little so her whole body weight wasn't on the hole in his side. Even under the thick shirt he wore and all the blood, she could feel how toned his body was. Like her brothers, he looked to be hard and muscular all over. She wanted to run her hands over his body just to make sure. “Why didn't you run?” He asked. Kynan's voice was level and pain free. The wound was healing up quickly but the girl hadn't even noticed that the bleeding had stopped. He thought about telling her she could let go but she'd seen enough without adding freaky supernatural healing into the mix. Besides, her hands felt good where they were. They were warm and gentle. “I couldn't just leave you to fight him alone.” She explained. “Thank you.” He actually appreciated that she'd stayed. That kick had been awesome and the way she'd grabbed the knife and stood over him? He had only one word. Hot! “Any time.” She smiled at him. He looked at her, she really should be more freaked out. She'd been attacked by a guy possessed, had watched him get stabbed and was still putting pressure on a wound that had stopped bleeding. Not to mention the dead woman behind them. And yet she seemed oddly calm. He looked at her trying to read her soul. It was an odd one but it wasn't evil, so she wasn't a demon. Maybe she was just crazy or slow? “Do you think the bleeding's stopped?” She asked curiously. “On TV there's usually still a lot of blood pouring out if you were going to die. So I guess you won't die, that's good.” “It's stopped.” He resisted the urge to chuckle at her quizzical expression as she removed her hand. He got to his feet as she pressed her thumb and finger together then pulling them apart. She was marvelling at the quickly drying blood. “I've never touched human blood before.” She said still playing with it. “Well that's a good thing I guess.” He held his hand out to her and she took it. He didn't mind that her hands were covered in his blood as he helped her to her feet. Amy's eyes met his and she felt a blush colouring her checks. He was so gorgeous. “Thank you.” She said sounding a little breathless. “For helping me.” “Any time.” He echoed her. There was a strange silence between them. Was she meant to walk away? “Hey, about what just happened?” She looked up at him again with her huge curious blue eyes. “You can go home. I'm going to call my paramedic friend to come get these two.” He gestured to the woman and boy. The woman was dead but the kid would be okay.  “Okay. Make sure he looks at you too.” She told him before she started to walk away. Her ankle was sore from the struggle and it didn't take him long to notice her limp. “Do you live close?” He asked worried about her. “No. But my sister lives just over there.” She pointed to a building overlooking the water. It was nice. “She's at work but she gave me a key.” “Do you need help getting there? You probably shouldn't be putting too much pressure on that ankle.” She stopped and thought about it for a moment. The way she saw it was that she could limp to her sister's alone and take a bath with some healing soaks or she could let the handsome stranger help her home and into a bath with healing soaks. She liked the plan with the hot guy better. “Okay.” She held out her arm for him to help her. Kynan left the woman and boy were they were. Someone was bound to notice them eventually and call an ambulance. He slipped his arm around her waist and let her put some of her body weight onto him. A charge like static electricity went through him as he pulled her next to him. Amy put one of her arms around his waist too and they started moving. She felt nice and kind of tingly hanging on to him. It didn't escape her notice that they were walking as a couple might. She blushed at how they must look, and at the thought of such a god looking guy being with her. It was stupid of course but while his arm was around her, she could at least pretend.
