Once their washing was done, Kurt carefully folded all his family’s clothes, Archer folding his own before placing them back into Kurt’s rucksack. They then forced as much of their purchases into Archer’s rucksack, pulling out some of the rope and using it to tie the sleeping bags together so that Kurt could carry them over the opposite shoulder to his bag. Archer grabbed the stove, gas bottle and remaining bags of supplies and the pair headed back out toward the edge of town, making their way toward the forest and their new home.
