Amelia’s POV
I felt a bit of dread welling up within me at being caught by Sienna, but that was likely from the last hopeful sliver inside of me that still wanted to make Sienna my friend. The rest of me had recognized that Sienna hated me and that would never change.
Even at her age, if she hated me enough to try to poison me, there wasn’t much coming back from that. Her anger for me was beyond reason, and I doubted there was much I could say to convince her otherwise at this point.
Jake likely felt the same. Though he had welcomed Sienna back into his home, he had put guards here and there around the estate to keep an eye on Sienna, specifically to keep her out of the kitchen, though other places too. My bedroom, for instance, was always being watched and protected.
