Amelia’s POV I crawled into bed, hiding under the covers. Curled on my side, I clung to my stomach with both hands, praying the pain would pass. It wasn’t just my stomach that ached. Pulsing pinpricks seemed to prick my entire body, but in my maternal instinct, I wanted to protect my child above all. I was powerless though.
