For the past few months, I tried my best to settle into this life of mine. I still wasn’t certain that this was the life I had always led, as much of it felt… unfamiliar. But I wasn’t unhappy. Having a family that cared for me was a great feeling.
Whatever issues my family and I had in the past, my parents seemed resolved to fix it. They even hired a professional photographer to take new pictures of us together to replace those without me in the house.
