“You allowed her to treat you so callously,” I said, annoyed. “You stopped me from properly punishing her.”
Amelia placed her hands on her hips, seemingly as annoyed as I was. “You can’t intervene here.”
“What? Why? This is my pack, and if they are mistreating you, it is my job to –”
“They doubt my abilities, and that will not change if I need you to protect me,” Amelia said. “This is your pack, but the hospital is my domain. The only way I am going to prove to anyone that I am capable is by being capable.”
