Percival's Lament

My story obviously began when I was born. I grew up in a decent home with loving parents. They loved me since the day I died. During my teenage years, I met a beautiful girl named Xyliana. We were only sixteen at the time, but we desperately wanted to get married. That was until I met her mother, Lillith. I was afraid of her and the things she was doing, not only to her daughter, but to strangers. She abused anyone she met, even me. I wanted to leave Xyliana, but she wouldn't let me. Lillith had forced me to marry Xyliana at such a young age. After our forced marriage, she was no longer the kind and sweet Xyliana I knew, but someone who turned on me and everyone else we knew. She became abusive and hateful. I haven't loved her since. Many times has she abused me emotionally, physically, and sexually. We were twenty-two when she found out she was pregnant with my son. I told her I was gay and wanted a divorce, but she wouldn't let me go. She agreed to a separation. I felt free. I met a man named Vince and he treated me well for three years. Xyliana's jealously had almost killed him more than one. And so.. I had to do the only right thing. Be wjth my abuser.
