chapter 18

piper.

I was a little tipsy when I came home last night but just like neal said he'd be he was here waiting for me. he helped me changed into one of his shirts and made sure I was good before we both fell asleep.

the bright sun is coming through the windows and I stretch but find I'm in bed alone. I roll over to see the clock then I hear the sweetest little giggles and the sound of little feet running towards my room. I hear neal trying to whisper

" I'm not sure if she's up yet pea"

this makes me giggle as I wait for them to enter.

" mama!" pea runs towards the bed and jumps on and I hug her tight

" morning sweet girl"

I look up and see neal smiling at us. he has a tray of food that smells amazing and coffee.

he kisses my forehead

" morning little mama"

I blush because I'm sure I look at hot mess right now.

sadie moves over next to me as neal sets the try if breakfast in front of me. I immediately take the coffee drinking some.

" I helped mama" sadie says with a big grin

" oh well aren't you just a big girl. it look amazing"

I kiss her cheek and move closer to her so neal can sit. I look him over, he looks amazing in the mornings in just his gray joggers and his hair in too of his head. I kiss him cheek

" you guys didn't have to do all this"

he kisses my head

" eat up kitten we already had ours"

I nod and start eating while sadie is telling me about her night with grandma and her morning with neal.

" Maddy and blade invited us for lunch if you are up for it" neal says softly

and I smile at him

" that sound like fun"

sadie soon jumps of the bed saying she's gotta find her princess dress to show aunt Maddy leaving neal and me sitting here. I feel so happy so cared for and I'm a little nervous about this feeling because I know if he leaves it's gonna break me.

he takes the tray of food and sets it to the side then he gently moves some hair from my face

" what's going on in that beautiful head of yours this early?"

I look into his eyes and can't help but smile

" just about how happy I am. you. you've made me extremely happy"

he kisses me just a small kiss but I love it

" my girls make me extremely happy also"

I kiss him again

" alright I'm gonna go start you a shower before I end up taking you right now" he says making me blush

" oh I'm sure. I look a mess right now and I'm sure I smell like the club"

I say to him as he gets up to go to the bathroom.

when he comes back be helps me stand and smacks my ass

" you in my t-shirt is enough to get me going kitten"

I giggle at him and walk towards the bathroom with a little extra sway just to tease him. I hear him groan

" keep teasing babe and no complaining tonight"

his words make me excited I just smile over my shoulder as I close the bathroom door.

once I'm out I throw on some jean shorts and a cute shirt, it hugs my curves a little more than I'm used to but makes my boobs look s little bigger.

as I add a little make up sadie comes in and watches me and I smile at her. I pull my hair into a side braid

" what would the princess like done to her hair?"

I ask her and she giggles

" I need a braid too mama"

I nod and brush through he beautiful hair then I braid it while she's telling me stories.

neal peeks his head into the bathroom as I'm finishing

" well aren't I a lucky man I've got to of the most beautiful girls in the world by my side"

I smile at him shaking my head while sadie giggles twilight around showing him her dress

" daddy I'm not a girl I'm a princess!"

she says very sassy and he laughs then picks her up and spins her

" that you are don't ever forget it"

my heart flutters watching the two of them.

we get things ready to go bringing extra clothes for Sadie in case she's needs to be changed and I throw together a chocolate pie because what pregnant lady doesn't like chocolate?

as I'm finishing up neal wraps his arms around me from behind kissing my shoulders

" you look gorgeous kitten" he whispers in my ear

" thank you. you look good yourself" I turn taking him in. he's now in shorts and a cut off showing all his tattoos that I love. I let my hands run down his arms and in his beard taking in his manly smell. he kisses me softly

" let's get going before I get a hard on" he says against my lips making me laugh.

when we pulled up to maddy's and blades it was a beautiful house. neal got out and opened my door then got sadie out. carrying in her bag and the pie while he carried her, as soon as we got on to the porch Maddy was opening the door smiling.

" I'm so glad you guys could come!' she said pulling me in for a hug

" thanks for the invite. I was so sad you weren't feeling up to coming last night!'

she leads us in and the guys shake hands and of course sadie shows them her princess dress.

" yeah I know I have been getting sick at night instead of the mornings" she says rolling her eyes and I smile at her

' well definitely next time. and you are absolutely glowing!" I tell her as she's smiling rubbing her small bump.

" thank you. definitely trying to enjoy it other than the sickness" she says while blade kisses her head lovingly. I smile at them

we make our way to the kitchen to set our things down and someone walks in from the back yard.

" okay guys I think we may get some rain today"

says the guy and I feel neal go tense beside me and I look at him trying to figure out what's wrong.

in walks a tall skinny guy with brownish hair. he's wearing a button up shirt with his shorts and he walks beside Maddy. I look them over and can see they look a like, they must be related.

" oh guys brother showed up to bring by a few things this morning so I invited him"

she says looking over to neal as if trying to see how he will react. he nods his head and sadie pulls on his arms wanting to be picked back up so he does.

" Matthew this is neals girl, piper and that's little sadie. girls this is my brother Mathew"

maddy smiles half way introducing us. I smile and greet him and he does the same then be turns to neal who is holding sadie.

" well aren't you beautiful" he says to sadie and she just holds on to neal tighter. she's not comfortable around most new people which is why I'm so surprised she took to neal so fast.

he chuckles at her as neal eyes him.

" had no idea you had a daughter gunner"

Matthew says. and neal nods his head.

" yeah" is all he says back.

okay something isn't right between the two of them.

" okay sadie why don't you let daddy bring you out and auntie M will bring you out a princess cupcake?" maddy says trying to get everyone conf and sadies eyes light up excited.

neal places a small kiss on my head before leaving behind the other guys with sadie in his arms leaving Maddy and I in the kitchen.

once the back door closes she lets out a breath

" ugh! I'm so sorry I didn't mean to make things tense" I smile at her and lay her shoulder

" what's the story there?" I ask and she gives me a small smile

" well he wasn't exactly happy when Kevin and I got together because of him being with the club but he's learning to accept it. and well he and neal never saw eye to eye because of it and on top of that he and Zoe ended up getting drunk and sleeping together. he claims he was told they had broken up and well neal wanted to kill him but in the end be still didn't leave Zoe for some odd reason he accepted it when she told him she was just drunk and didn't actually remember it"

my eyes go wide and I have no idea what to say to her. I mean why would he take the girl back if she cheated and why would maddy's brother sleep with her knowing she was with neal?

" well maybe they can leave the past in the past?" I say more as a question and she nods

" I sure hope so"

we grab the snacks for everyone and a cupcake for Sadie and we make our way to the back yard.

sitting around talking with Maddy about the baby and watching Sadie play with a few toys they went out and got for her. the guys have started the grill and got the food going, they make there way towards us and neal takes a seat next to me handing me a beer while Kevin sits by maddy and Matthew sits across from me. a small fire ring that isn't lite between us. I can tell neal still isn't as calm but at least he hasn't gone off on him I guess. he throws his arm around my shoulders and I lean into him taking a sip while I watch sadie laughing in her own little world.

" so how'd you two end up together?" Matthew says and I smile at neal whose looking down at me.

" well he came into the bar I work at. he actually didn't speak the first couple of times while his friend did alot of talking" I giggle at the memory and neal smiles nodding along.

" then one night there was a little drama and he finally talked to me."

I shrug my shoulders and neal kisses my head Maddy and Kevin are smiling at us. but Matthew hasn't taken his eyes off of me and it's making me uncomfortable.

" well no disrespect but it's a shame to see another pretty girl get mixed in with their mess" he says pointing to neal and kevin. i roll my eyes and maddy says " Matthew!"

" he came into my life when I didn't know I needed him the most and that's all that matters to me" I say a little irritated. neal pulls me closer to him.

" id shut it before you piss me off Matthew"

neal says and Matthew throws his hands up like he didn't just insult them.

he gets up as his phone rings and walks away and the guys go inside to grab the rest of the food. Maddy apologies for her brother but I tell her it's fine.

I notice it's taking the boys a little so I go to check on them leaving Maddy to keep an eye on sadie.

once I'm inside I hear them talking.

Kevin- have you talked to her yet?

neal- no I was going to while we were here but your ass hat if a brother in law can't seem to keep his eyes off of her

Kevin- you don't have anything to worry about with her. but you need to talk to her Maddy is busting to talk to her about it.

neal-it's not the right time blade.

I walk in

" well now I really need to know" I say smiling because their faces are like two kids being busted

neal.

talking in the kitchen with gunner I know I need to talk to piper but it's not the right time. I'm sure if I bring it up Matthew is gonna open his mouth and I'm real close to losing my s**t on him already with the way he can't seem to keep his eyes off of my ole lady.

then I head her sweet voice

" well now I really need to know" she says smiling and my mouth falls open in shock and she starts laughing.

" we will talk about it later babygirl" I say rubbing the back of my neck nervous and blade chuckles

" secrets don't make friends neal"

she says all sassy

" but friends make secrets" I say back

and she laughs with her hands on her hips

" hm well see if that friend will suck you off"

she replies and I'm shocked she said that in front of blade. she is finally getting comfortable around me. she's got a sexy little smirk on her face

" you better watch it kitten before you end up in trouble"

she just raises a brow at me and twirls some of her hair looking innocent like she didn't just say that she shrugs

" then tell me" she bats her eyelashes and blade chuckles as he pats my back

" I'm gonna let you two talk" he says and with that he's gone.

piper hops up on the counter swinging her legs waiting for me to talk I stand between her legs with my hands resting on the counter by her thighs I let my thumbs run over her skin.

" blade and I are taking a step back in the gang. I'll still be president and deal with the paperwork but we're no longer gonna be taking the trios to handle things unless absolutely necessary and the guys we put in charge can't. we're talking about opening a bike shop here in town so he can still have an income and be closer to Maddy and the baby. and well I don't want to keep leaving you and sadie." her eyes are wide and I kiss her cheek before continuing. letting out a long sigh

" and I'd like for us to move in together. your home or a new home if you'd like. but doing that would me you officially accept being my ole lady "

I watch her as her eyes go over my face and she looks at me she's taking so long to respond my heart is beating like crazy.

finally she runs her hands through my beard making me close my eyes because I love the way it feels.

" I love the idea and I'd love to live with you neal"

she whispers and I go to kiss her because I'm excited but she places her small hands against my chest stopping me

" but I need to know you'll be happy. I don't want you giving up your life and what you love for me"

I smile at her and shake my head.

" babygirl y'all are my life and y'all make me happy. I'm excited about the bike shop and I'll still have the club I just want have to do as much. I can't handle leaving you anymore"

as soon as the words leave my mouth her lips are on mine and I pull her body into mine
