I woke up the next morning feeling refreshed, I finally got a full night's sleep. I know I've still gotta deal with my club business but I'm just not ready to leave the girls yet. I stretch out and realize I'm alone. that means miss sadie is already up, I get up brush my teeth and throw on a pair of basketball shorts before making my way to the kitchen, no sign of the girls I throw my phone on the counter not wanting to hear from blade yet, I get my coffee and head to peas room where I hear her giggles. as I walk in piper is surrounded by pieces of wood and sadie in wrapped in a blanket rolling around
" did I miss the invite to the party" I ask from the door way making piper jump in surprise and sadie look up smiling
" no, no party just putting sadies big girl bed together" piper says sounded defeated I chuckle
" care for a hand?
she shakes her head " I've got it just may take a few tries"
I take a seat on the floor next to her and take the instructions from her hands " babygirl, part of being my girlfriend is allowing me to actually help you"
she just looks away so I start to get things laid out and screws where they need to go.
doesn't take me long to get it put together, sadie is bouncing with excitement and piper is shaking her head smiling " thank you" she says wrapping her arms around my waist I kiss the top of her head " that's why I'm here"
" okay all that's left is to move things around I don't want to take her crib down just yet and I've gotta go find her new comforter set she got test" piper says
" okay you go find the new set and I'll move things around"
she walks out the door and I get the beds moved so they both fit in the room nicely.
I sit next to pea " so a big girl bed huh?"
she smiles a big toothy grin " yes mama said I'm 3 so I'm a big girl" I nod
before anything else can be said piper comes back in I look up at her face and I can tell something is off
" what's the matter babygirl?" I question
she puts her hand up
" please leave" she all she says and I look at her shocked
" excuse me?" I ask getting to my feet
" pea me and mama are gonna talk in the kitchen we'll be right back" she just nods her head and continues playing, piper turns and walks out I follow her into the kitchen
" okay I'm gonna need to know what's going on her piper"
she doesn't say anything at first or even turn around
" we have the same phone, it kept going off on the counter so I thought it was mine but to my surprise it's yours. please leave because I'm not dealing with this. I don't have the.."
I cut her off as I turn her body around to face me I see the tears
" I'm gonna need you to explain a little more"
she shakes her head never looking at me she just gestures towards my phone so I pick it up and see the messages from my ex
zoe- it was so good to see you at the club
zoe- the guys let me know you hadn't finished business in town yet but had to run home so I'll see you when you back
zoe- I know things didn't end great but I know the sparks are still there
zoe- (naked picture) enjoy
I quickly throw my phone down and try pulling piper into my arms but she moves away
" this isn't what it seems I swear!"
" just please leave I need to be alone" is all she says
" piper ann! you need to stop being stubborn and listen" I half yell
and her body tenses before she turns away from me
" please just leave neal"
I let out a sigh
" I'm gonna give you your space but at some point you will hear me out about this"
I place a kiss on her head and I make my way back to peas room
" okay pea I need to do a few things but I promise I'll see you soon" I tell her as I hug her tight
" but I don't want you to go"
I sigh " I know baby but it won't be long and when I get things taken care of I'll be back"
she nods I kiss her cheek and go to leave before I go I turn to piper
" I love you" I say before walking out the door. I feel like I've left my heart behind.

how could I be so stupid? of course he's still messing around with the chick that looks like a f*****g super model. ugh! I take a moment and get myself back together then I send addie a text asking her to come by when she's got the chance. I go back to sadies room to finish up, thankfully she didn't hear our conversation.
I get the new bedding put on and then we make our way outside for her to run off some energy.
I'm sitting on the swing when addie comes up and sits beside me. " hey girl I texted you back but you never responded sorry it took me a minute to get here, what's the matter?"
I tell her everything that I saw refusing to cry because sadies out here. she pulls me in for a hug " okay what did he have to say to all of this?" she questions not letting me go
" I didn't let him even try to explain it away"
she sighs " sweetie if he didn't respond to or even know the messages had come then how do you know he's even done anything?"
I roll my eyes " because one said she was glad she has seen him at the club and he didn't even mention it to me and his exact words were " there's no business talk at princess parties" I say throwing my hands around trying to sound like him " and trust me if you'd see this chicks she's got blonde hair skinny body and fake big boobs" I roll my eyes again
" well maybe it's not what it seems he seems like he's really it to you" she says
" I don't know I told him I needed time. I can't deal with all this"
she nods " well maybe after you have had time to calm down you can hear his side?"I just shrug.
she catches me up on her life and we have a late lunch of course sadie shows her the new bed.
by the time she leaves I get sadie ready for bed and I sit down on couch with my phone for the first time today, I look through the messages.
neal- I swear to you nothing is happening between her and me if you'd just give me a chance to explain
neal- please don't let this end what we have.
neal- I know you don't want to hear this but I'm headed back out. I've gotta get this business taken care of. please call me if you or pea need anything.
neal- I love you
I choose not to reply because part of me just wants to fall back into his arms but the other part of me tells me I've already been down this road before.

when I got back to the clubhouse I threw my phone and shattered it along with I don't even know what else blade came in asking me what was the matter but I just shrugged him off.
" get the s**t together were going to deal with this so I can get back and have someone get me a new phone" is all I say and he doesn't ask any questions just leaves to get the guys together.
when we get to our hotel my mood hasn't changed I've checked the new phone k don't know many times and I still haven't gotten a reply from Piper if I was in town I would feel a little better because I wouldn't be so far if she decides she wanted to talk or if she needed me.
once I'm squared away in my room I tell the guys what I need from them and we set up to watch the club over the cameras. I'm throwing back shots of whiskey tightly holding my phone. as I get up to get another blade pull me to the side
" you ready to tell me what is wrong son?" he questions and I roll my eyes getting more to drink
" didn't have time to tell piper we ran into zoe. zoe blew my phone up this morning and piper found the messages and told me to leave"
he shakes his head
" knew zoe was trouble. you haven't talked to piper?"
" nope she kicked me out and isn't returning my messages" I say throwing back another shot
" and you swear to me other than us running into her at the club the other night you haven't had any contact with zoe?" he asks raising a brow
and this pisses me off. dude is supposed to be my best friend like a father to me and he really thinks I'd f**k around on Piper?!
" are you f*****g serious right now?!" I question loudly and he throws his hands up
" look I know how messed up zoe has had you before I'm just trying to make sure"
I sigh " that was different I didn't think I deserved any better but now that I have better I know it's possible. I wouldn't throw that away"
he pats my shoulder saying
" give her her space I'm sure she's just trying to figure things out"
we spend the rest of the night watching the live feed with the guys while I get drunk checking my phone every other minute.
