Chapter 69: A warning

1035 Words

Erix was not in the office when I arrived at the house, which sent me straight to our room. When I reached my destination, the door was closed, but I opened it and stepped inside. Our luggage was still on the floor next to the bed where we had left it earlier, so it was clear no one had yet to remove them. I looked up just as the bathroom door opened to reveal a half-naked Erix and blushed at his state. "You sent for me?" I asked "Yes," he answered as he reached the closet. "I wanted to see you. My wolf is upset." "What's wrong?" "The she-wolf attacked me," he said. I began to panic and grew concerned. My eyes roamed over Erix to examine his body for bodily harm. From what I could see, no marking on his body indicated a scuffle, but that still didn't put my mind at ease.
