Chapter Three

DAY 2 AT THE PRAYER MOUNTAIN (9:15pm)

James and Paul are doing the evening prayer. Paul saw a trance.

THE TRANCE

Dara was tied with shackles, James was trying to open a door but he doesn‟t have the keys to

the door.

He was making effort to get through, but his efforts were ruthless. The key to the door was

with Dara but she had been tied with shackles. She hid herself from her husband because she

was ashamed to face him.

PRESENT MOMENT

„O God what does this mean‟? Paul thought within himself.

„Why is Dara tied with shackles, Why are the key with someone in b*****e and not with a

freeman (James)? Why will Dara being hiding herself from her husband; when her husband

can free her from the b*****e? And she‟s with the keys, and she knows her husband needs it

to access the door he‟s struggling with. Lord interprets this to me‟. Paul thought within

himself, and later continues to pray.

At exactly 12:45am Darasimi woke up to pray.

„Lord I know it my past that‟s hunting me and affecting my marriage, but you said it in your

word that old things are passed away and all things as become new. My lord and my savior

rescue me and have mercy on me. Make a way for my husband and bless him…‟

Darasimi continue praying till she slept off.

Ajibike woke up by 3:00am. She recites some incantation that she had previously learnt from

Baba and brought out the charm given to her.

„Hmmmmm, I just started with you, this is for day one, I know in the next 7 days you will

have been out of my son‟s house nonsense‟.

The next day James arrives back home, he met his mother in the sitting room.

Good afternoon mami‟, James greets his mother.

„Welcome my son, how was your journey? I hope it went well; I also did not sleep here since

the day you left. I know that at the end of the day we will all be happy‟.

„Sure mami, God has definitely granted my request, I‟m assured that my prayer has been

answered‟. James said with a lot of conviction. Darasimi joined them in the living room.

„Welcome my dear, how was your journey? I hope you are not really stressed out‟?

„My journey was fine dear, but the little problem was that I really missed you‟? James said.

Dara smiled cheerfully and Ajibike gave a horrible look.

„Come and have your bath while I serve your food‟. Ajibike interrupted her.

„Less I forget, Ajadi did you remember that my friend Amope‟?

„Yes, what about her mami‟? James inquired.

„Her last daughter Aderonke, she gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, her mother called me

yesterday to share the news‟.

„Thank God‟. James said.

Darasimi was not feeling comfortable with the conversation since she knows where it‟s

heading to.

„God will also give us ours when the time is due‟. James said.

„Ronke was such a good girl in her teens, she was not wayward neither did she mess herself

up during her teens. She is not possessed with a demon and does not bring bad luck to her

husband after marriage despite the fact that she doesn‟t go to church often‟. James interrupted

his mother.

„Hmmmmmm‟

„In fact she…‟ James cut in the conversation from his mother.

„Mami am very tired I want to bath and also eat, I will see later‟ James said to his mother and

also noticed that his wife was unhappy due to the words from his mother. He decides to cheer

her up.

„The only queen in the palace of Adebola, go to the kitchen and serve your king the delicacy

you have made specially for him‟. Dara tried to smile without saying a word and went

straight to the kitchen, while James headed for the bedroom.

FLASH BACK

„Doctor, please help me find something to do about it, I can‟t keep it‟.

„Dara this will be the fourth time you are coming here to abort, and I have warned you the

last time you came that you should try as much as possible to avoid this. The one we did the

last time we barely scape through‟.

„I tried to, but the contraceptive failed‟. Dara said in defense. „Doctor please I have to do it; I

don‟t have a better option. Let‟s just be positive, nothing bad will happen‟.

PRESENT DAY

Dara was weeping bitterly in the kitchen; as she flash‟s back into her single days.

„I will go to the hospital tomorrow, to run some test to know maybe I can still conceive‟. She

thought within herself.

„Doctor Joe did not tell me anything went wrong after the last one I had. Maybe he forgot to,

maybe it went well, I will know by tomorrow. If the result is out and I find out that I can‟t

conceive I will walk away from this marriage unaware before this woman makes publicity

about me. Haaaaaaa Dara look at what you have put yourself into‟. Dara laments.
