CHAPTER 16 It had been a long week of hard slogging and stress, and I was looking forward to a work-free weekend with Marie. I drove over to her place, planning on forgetting Prittmanns for a while. To relax and enjoy her companionship. And play some tennis. She seemed just as pleased to see me. Once inside her hallway, we fell into one another's arms, kissing passionately, discarding some clothes, laughing and giggling like young lovers anxious to get at each another, finally to wind up bonding in one glorious swoop. We climaxed, tightly entwined, breathing heavily as though we'd run a mile and sank into a marvellous afterglow. After this display of bottled-up energy, we had no wish to go out and, dressed in bathrobes, settled down to a hastily prepared meal of cold meats and cheese
