I reach for the front door handle, but something is blocking me. Why can't I open the door? This has to be because of Maria. This is magic. I look around to see if I can get out another way. I see a back door but I can't help but think this might be on purpose. This definitely feels like a trap.
I walk around to the closest room and decide to look out the window. Very carefully, I move the curtain to the side to look outside. I see a bunch of people standing around. The fighting seems to have stopped. What's going on?
Just then, I hear a crash behind me and I turn around quickly.
"I'm so sorry, Luna. We didn't mean to startle you." Ned says quietly. I breathe a sigh of relief.
"Ned! Oh my god, I'm so glad you are okay. Last I saw you, Lyle had beaten you black and blue."
