I knock on the door of my brother’s office. Not sure why he wants to see me, but I have to show up. It’s Arthur, after all.
“Come in.” Arthur calls. I open the door and there he sits behind his desk, arms crossed with his beta, Jack, behind him as always.
“You wanted to see me?” I say.
“Yes. Sit down.” Arthur motions for me to sit in one of the chairs, so I do. “As you know, Maxton has been gone for two years.”
“Yes, Alpha.” I nod.
“Well, his time away at alpha training has come to an end. He is set to come home tomorrow.” Arthur tells me. I can’t help but smile.
