Anita Johnson and her family moved into a new apartment on Blood Street. Rent was cheap but the place looked old.
Her father Mr Johnson gathered all his children. "Listen to me. This is a new school. Don't join bad guys. Focus on your books. I don't want trouble."
Anita nodded but she was tired of lectures.
On Monday she got admitted to Greenfield High. A handsome senior boy named Derek noticed her. "New girl? Welcome to Greenfield."
At night her younger sister Tolu lied to their parents. "Daddy I saw Anita talking with boys at the gate."
Mr Johnson was angry. He grounded Anita for two weeks. Anita cried in her room. It was not fair.
---
Two weeks passed. Anita was bitter.
Derek waited for her after school everyday. He bought her snacks. "Your sister is just jealous. Your parents don't trust you."
Anita started to like him. He made her feel special.
One night Tolu lied again. "Mummy Anita was on phone with a boy till 12am."
Their mother shouted at Anita.
Friday evening Derek texted her. "Meet me at Club Velvet by 11pm. Just once. Let's have fun. Your family will never know."
Anita was angry. "Fine. I will come."

CHAPTER 3: THE CLUB NIGHT
11pm. Anita climbed out through the window. She wore Tolu's red dress.
Club Velvet was loud and dark. Music was everywhere.
Derek smiled and gave her a cup. "Drink this. It will help you relax."
The drink tasted strange. After two minutes Anita's head was spinning.
"I'm dizzy" she said.
Derek laughed. "Come, let me take you home."
That was the last thing Anita remembered.

CHAPTER 4: THE ROOM OF HORROR
Anita woke up on a cold floor. Her hands were tied.
There were three other girls in the room. All of them were crying.
A big man entered. "Fresh meat" he said. "Client wants kidney. Paying 2 million."
Anita's blood ran cold. Derek walked in and smiled. "Surprise baby. Business is business."
For two days Anita heard girls screaming.
On the third night there was power outage. Anita used broken glass to cut the rope. She ran outside barefoot. A bus driver saw her and helped her.
---
CHAPTER 5: THE HUNT
Anita was in hospital. Her father was crying. "My daughter. I'm sorry."
Police said five girls had disappeared around Club Velvet.
Detective Musa came. "We need your help to catch them."
They gave Anita a small mic. Derek called her. "Where are you? I was worried."
Police traced the call. The club was a front for human trafficking.

CHAPTER 6: THE ARREST
Saturday night. Police raided Club Velvet.
Anita watched from the police van. They brought Derek out in handcuffs. He saw Anita and shouted. "Traitor!"
Inside the basement police found freezers and files of missing girls.
One month later the Johnson family moved out of Blood Street. Government sealed the apartment.
Anita was safe but she still had nightmares.
Every morning her father tells her. "Remember my warning."
