Alice King had made her way to New Kingston the moment she got the news of Kingsley making his way to New Kingston and all she cared about was making sure that no harm came close to her grandchildren. That was something I could relate to.
"Haven't you been sitting him down and talking some sense into him?" Alice yelled angrily as she looked at me.
"That is why I sent you alongside. You are his beta, Clark!!" She snapped as she rolled her eyes.
"I am doing my best, mother!" I said in defense as I raised my eyebrows. "But you know, he can be stubborn at times but he still tries his best. I don't think Elena has gotten over the hurt she got when he betrayed their mate's bond." I shrugged as I turned to where he was seated.
