9 - Home The sound of hammering awoke her. At first, Æquana thought it was a woodpecker, until the grinding whine of a saw proved otherwise. Rubbing her eyes, she smiled and sat up in bed. It was cool in the room. Sunlight streamed through the semi-sheer curtains and spread across the quilt. A glance at the clock on the bedside table showed it just after eight AM. And the wildflower sitting beside it was still wet from the morning dew. "Aww, husband." She crawled over the mattress, picking up the bright purple bloom and sniffing it. She had no idea what type of flower it was, but it didn"t matter. Every so often, she"d awaken to find a small token of Talon"s love waiting for her. These little reminders meant a lot to her, sometimes more than words. The hammering noise started again.
