FIRST SIGHT.
It all began the day I wanted to take a break from the life I had thought was mine for a long time. I had just left the house. I was heading to grab a bite, my life itself was not going as I expected, so tonight I wanted to take a break and head to this hotel that I have been seeing every day on my path towards town. It was almost at the outcast of the region, close to the lake, but not very close to the house that I live.
On the way, I just took a look at the hotel. It was quite new, and there were only travelers who would come and lounge there. Very, very few locals, because it was a very small, discreet community. Nobody would be happy to see their wives or husbands going to such a place, because it was just like tradition and custom that everybody sleeps in their own homes. There is no reason to go to hotels, or if you do, you are obviously not married, and they would obviously know what you are going to do there. I decided that I did not care. Little did I know, the night that I decided to go to Hotel 91, was the beginning of a whole different story.
I passed by Mickey's Burger Place, grabbed two burgers and two large chips, holding them, heading outside after I had paid Carol, who is the receptionist at the burger joint. I accidentally stumbled. On a man who was coming into the burger place, and as I was leaving, he bumped my arm but did not apologize. I clearly did not look at his face or care whatsoever, because this town has a lot of assholes like that, like drunk men; sometimes even police officers will treat you like that.
But one thing that I noticed for sure was this blue mated G-Wagon, latest version, parking on the outside of their burger place. It's a car that I've never seen before, only on the internet, and I was really surprised. I was like, "Hmm, rich asshole, no wonder he treats women like that."
Moving along, I went inside my car, drove straight to the hotel, entered to the front desk and found a lady. She was very kind and attractive. And she was asking me how many nights I wanted to stay because they don't take up to two nights of stay. Well it was apartments and it wasn't just a regular hotel room situation.
It was a furnished apartment with a bedroom and a kitchen and everything. And I was like so excited because I finally got my money from my father's trust fund. This is a story that we will talk about later but I have some money that my dad had stored for me and now I could literally get out of my house and have my own freedom. So without thinking straight, I said FIVE and she looked at me in my face and she told me, can I please have your card? And when I gave it to her, she looked at the card's second name and looked at my face and smiled and told me, I knew your father. He's one of our first clients inside the hotel. Mind you, I have not seen my father for a very long time because he was sick most of the time, not in the country because this is a small town. Everybody knows everybody. I was not that surprised. I went on to take my card back and the keys and I decided to go to the lounge area and eat my food. I didn't want my hotel to smell like junk food so I wanted to eat first before I headed there. So I took my food, took my bag, and the chaperone, the chauffeur, took it and took it straight into the room and I went to sit in the lounge and started eating. After I finished eating, I stood up. It was approximately about maybe 35 minutes. I stood up and I was heading to the elevator and that's when I met him.
As I was walking towards the elevator, I smelled a very masculine cologne. It was very intriguing, but of course I did not turn around. I kept focused and waiting for the elevator to bid me in so that I can go to my respective room.
I was standing at the door and I could notice him just right beside my shoulder, but not too close, very, very attentive, like he was observing me. I honestly was not afraid or cared so much, because, as I say, there are too many drunk weirdos in this small town.
Anyway, the elevator door opened and I entered first, pressed number six, and he came in as where I saw him. He was tall, handsome, cold. His eyes were very gray. His beard was partially full. I could not see his chest or his arms, but he could tell how lean and cut he is just through his shoulders and his neck. His hair was mid-length, not too short, and he had a very good fresh cut on him. He had worn full black, and he was holding a very big briefcase which was black. On his right hand, he was holding an envelope, and a bottle cap of champagne was sticking out of his face. His expression was numb, but I could tell by his eyes that he was staring at me even when we're in the elevator.
Finally, the elevator reached number six, and I stepped out, and I could still tell that he is watching me. I went straight to my hotel room. Mind you, I could still smell his cologne. Entered inside, the views were so beautiful, and I was just chilling there, and I realized how bored I am. Coincidentally, maybe he was also bored in his apartment, because when I was going out for fresh air, I literally found him in the community balcony, just right to the next floor that I am in, It was a very big lounging area, so I just went to my far right and just sat there. I usually smoke m*******a, so I lit one of my joints and started smoking.
I noticed him coming straight towards me, holding his bottle of champagne with two glasses. As he approached where I was sitting, he asked, "Mind if I join you?" I replied, "I don't really know you, I'm sorry." He said, "I have two glasses; it would be only fair." I promise you, I did not want him to sit next to me, but how do I deny such a fine-looking man? So I straight up ask him, "You're not from town, are you?" He replied, "No, I'm not. I'm just visiting. There is land that I was thinking of buying here, so I wanted to see what the place is like before I do any payments."
I was like, "How long have you been here?" He answered, "I just arrived." As I was looking at his face, I realized he was the man that really pushed me in the burger place, but me being me, I did not say anything, and my joint was almost over, so I just stood up and left while he was there, sitting and looking at me leave.
I don't know how he knew my hotel number, because I promise you, as soon as I went inside the next seconds, it's him at the door, and I'm melting. I knew it was him for some reason, because I could literally smell him through the corridors. I just took a deep breath, and I told myself this is not the type of change that I was looking for, but why not be entertained? I went to the door, buzzed him in, and he entered and said, "These rooms have very different aesthetics,"
